Sen. Ted Kennedy's birthday celebration in Washington, the 77-year-old was presented with the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award.

For his swimming prowess, no doubt.

Is this for saving the life of Mary Jo Ko....?

No, wait, that was another deal.

For pulling Mary Jo Kopechnie out of the car? For passing his own college Spanish exams? For dissuading his nephew from sexual assault?

I’m going to wait to read the article..the title of it says enough...

I’m having a vision of a fat overweight fish swimming for air while the fish known as non-wife struggles to break the glass entrapment in search for air itself...

<-—waiting for the A&E special...”Profile in Courage...Life and Times of Kennedy, The Swimmer...”

His brother saves his crew by swimming. POS kills a girl by not swimming. I have total contempt for POS.

Sigh..

...One could only wonder if Mary Jo would agree?

Sorry, folks, but I cannot wish Kennedy anything except a swift and painless "homegoing" (if God will have him).

It is the old saying again...God may forgive him, but I won't. He was a lying, cowardly, reprobate in the '60's and has not changed to this day.

Ted Kennedy, driving drunk, drove his car off a bridge and into the water. He abandoned the young girl in that car, leaving her to drown, and saved himself.

Courage?

It is only fitting that the “Swimmer” receive an award based on the book his brother did not write. Phonies all of them.

How pathetically ironic is it that Sir Osis of the Liver wins an award named after his brother, who risked his life to save his men by swimming through shark infested waters, dodging Japanese patrols. Yet, this POS left that poor young girl to die in a watery grave on Chappaquidick Island.
