Mr Buffett said that he was taxed at 17.7 per cent on the $46 million he made last year, without trying to avoid paying higher taxes, while his secretary, who earned $60,000, was taxed at 30 per cent.

Mr Buffett, who runs the investment group Berkshire Hathaway and is widely regarded as the world’s most successful investor, said that he was a Democrat because Republicans are more likely to think: “I’m making $80 million a year – God must have intended me to have a lower tax rate.”
Will they ask him how he duped the Treasury into giving his bank (Wells) a multi-billion tax break (that ain't available to his secretary)?
Will they ask him what Berkshire would be worth if he had to mark his short global stock index puts to market?

Since the Dow (bad as it is) has out performed Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway on the way down, I couldn’t care about anything he might have to say. I’d rather listen to Jim Cramer.
Part of the Obama plan to get investors back into the market so they will lose all their money for the destruction of the ivestor class, without the goverment cutting capital and corporate taxes.If Obama did that, we would be on the way to recovery.
I am beginning to think that Warren's real name is Warren Bluffit.
There are profits to be made once the market bottoms, but we are a ways from that point yet, the numbers do not lie.
Anyone not selliing equities at this point is a gambler with money to spare.
Maybe the old fart can explain how much his support for Obamanomics has helped his shareholders.
Here's a question I've never heard Warren Buffett (or George Soros) asked:
"Do you now employ (or have you ever employed) a tax accountant and/or tax attorney to handle your personal federal income taxes, and, if so, is it one of his or her duties to minimize the amount of personal federal income tax that you pay?"
Buffett and Soros, big Democrats both, are all for increasing the federal tax burden on the wealthy and even the not-so-wealthy in this country. If either of them is lifting even one finger to try to pay less than the maximum in federal taxes, he's a hypocrite, pure and simple.
Buffett has the hots for Becky Quick. Are they dating or something?
Word on the street is Warren needs the money,but who’s going to take his advice.Not Bill Gates for one.
