The White House claims that President Obama's administration will be "the most open and transparent in history," and announced on Friday it will convene a conference on March 12 to ensure "transparency" in the way money from last month's massive spending bill is distributed.
This would be a change from the secretive way that bill rocketed into law. As a candidate for office, Mr. Obama promised he would "not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days."
That didn't happen. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, better known as the stimulus bill, was approved by the Senate on a Thursday. Mr. Obama signed it on a Monday, just three days later.
Mr. Obama also signed the CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization) bill and the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act without waiting the promised five days.

is this really from seeBS?
Maybe they are seeing the BS and actually starting to report it :)
Ya think CBS??
Hee hee hee. These press people.
Please don’t bother dear leader with such pettiness. He is busy transforming the American economy to the Zimbabwe model. That is, when he isn’t partying or loading up the atmosphere with pollution from all his spiffy rides.
When are his idoloters going to learn that he is just a politiician; and not only not a good poltician, but a marxist politician.
You mean der Fuhrer lied and CNN is REPORTING IT! This must stop!! The reporting, that is.
Transparency?
He is the first president to carry a Blackberry for private, non-traceable, conversation and txts. So much for those communications being available by FOIA or in his library, if he evers gets one.
Unless it's something very important, then vote on the legislation before reading it. In the middle of the night, if possible.
CBS is realizing something, but their will to protect Choco-Carter is keeping their eyes blurred.
Finding out what the whole “change” meme really meant. “Soon as I’m elected, all of the crap that “I” said to get elected will be changed to what I planned to do all along.”
CBS is firing a shot across the bow of the Obama White House with this article, as many media people grow more and more annoyed at how the press office is handling access. Which would be more accurately portrayed as how the press office has locked the door, put a bar across it, and electrified it. Press access to administration officials has been virtually eliminated, and reporters are directed to read their e-mail or submit questions, for which they might address in a future e-mail.
But why should they be surprised? After all, this is exactly the situation that Obama had before he became the anointed one, the same situation that John Kerry practiced (and continues to practice), the same situation that Hillary practiced (and continues to practice.)
I suppose I should start posting these missives from the White House so everyone can know what tomorrow’s newspaper will say, and what will be on tonight’s evening news. Just have to figure out how to wash my computer’s mind out each time it spews the junk...
The voice of the people? What a novel idea. Perhaps we will one day have a Free Press which will embrace that idea.
He is tranparently the biggest sham and liar that ever graced the White House. Even bigger than Clinton.
Shame on Americans for buying this puny, cheap, imposter as a leader.
He is leading us into the destruction of our way of life.
He has made us all afraid of our futures for our kids and grandkids, he has impoverished all that we have worked for. He continues to lie and defraud us because he hates us.
He should be impeached.
I was going to opine that this was the dumbest headline of the day... until I saw the source was CBS, and then it all made sense.
How on earth can they justify a question mark at the end of the headline?
Does the word DUH mean anything to you (CBS)!
LOL
I don’t know... He seems pretty transparent to me.
When Obama was talked about 'change', what he really meant was that he was done all we would have left is the change in our pockets.
