Less than 24 hours until President Barack Obama visits Columbus.
Now we've learned the Secret Service investigated a possible threat against the President.
The controversial comment was posted in an online message board.

wow! an unexpected visit! i was just "visited" by 3 secret service agents in my home! actually, they were very cordial, although one of them watched me like a hawk and took copious notes of my answers to their questions. yjey, as well as other government agencies, monitor the internet, phone conversations, textmessages, etc. looking for certain key words that they red flag. apparantly, some of those key words have come up in some of my postings, so they say. whether taken out of context or not, whether posted as a joke or not, and whether posted as a threat or not, be very very careful what you post and how you word it. they even searched my house! bottom line is, i've effectively been "gagged" as far as being able to express myself using my Constitutional Rights, so the liberal left has won again. but, of course, some of the tactics they use might not stand up in the "court of public opinion". i have much more to say about this, but i dare not go into it on the internet, as i know that they are monitoring me very closely now. god, what is happening to our country?

This is nothing new....
The Secret Service, and the Federal Protective Service take internet threats against Public Figures VERY seriously.
Remember the trial of VIKRAM BHUDDI (A PAKISTANI student at Purdue)in Federal court, when he made death threats and called for “Someone” to kill Bush on Yahoo’s financial message boards, while posing as a Democrat and Liberal.
The hacking and ID theft charges were just incidental, it was the threats they went after him for.
You are ALLOWED to criticize, you are NOT allowed to yell “FIRE!” in a crowded movie theater. Jim Robinson has already warned about this for postings on FR.
Mixed feelings here....I hope it is an example of the Secret Service doing their jobs. I’m sure no one wants anything to happen on their watch.

Thats a good idea. We should be “in your face” with our 1st amendment rights. Besides, it will kep them busy.
