In his first month in office he has pushed through an unprecedented $787 billion economic stimulus package, announced plans to save the car industry, stabilise the stricken banking sector and stem the flood of home repossessions.
Then came his near-$4-trillion budget last week. It is a manifesto to usher in a new age of government activism that involves levels of borrowing and spending never before seen in the US and is a document of such staggering ambition and risk that even some of Mr Obama's Democratic supporters are suddenly beginning to feel a little queasy.
A keen poker player, Mr Obama is gambling not only his own presidency, but the future wellbeing of the country. If he pulls it off, they might find room for him on Mount Rushmore. If he fails, he could bankrupt the world's largest economy.

It is betting the farm when you are already holding a bust hand. We should have taken our medicine back in September, but instead the pols got intoxicated with power. Now there is no end in sight. Enough people have to get furious before anything can be done.
You’re half right, Mr. Reid. It is all about ambition, but there is no risk as far as Hussein is concerned. His ambition is to destroy the economy, create nationwide panic and declare martial law, creating a Marxist dictatorship. He does not wish to solve problems, but rather to create them. The biggest, most frightening possible. Happy, profitable, secure people/businesses are not good takeover marks for a dictator.

He isn’t doing it all by himself. He is doing it with the complicity of congress and in response to a slight majority of the voters. If it weren’t him it would be someone else ignoring the brilliance of the founding fathers.

Hussein wishes to implement a 3-part takeover of the US economy:
1. Own the FIRE means of production (finance ie banks [Citi], insurance [AIG] & real estate [Fannie/Freddie])
2. Regulate/dispense/control health care
3. Direct/manage economy via energy (cap & trade)
These initiatives will only be successful if the Kenyan has sufficient tax revenues and adequate access to credit (Treasuries) to pay for his grandiose schemes.
Purposely slowing down the economy through a concerted effort to save more & spend less will help crater tax receipts. With falling revenues, -0- will be forced to borrow more to make up the shortfalls.
Escalating demand for debt (increased risk = increased prices of debt & higher interest rates), and a dawning realization that invested funds will not contribute to increased imports (Chinese perspective), will serve to detonate the bond market and dry up his ability to loan money.
No taxes and no Treasuries means the shiftless punk from ChiTown will be sh!t out of luck trying to take over our country. Wake up and get with the program. It's not really an option - we're literally in a fight for our lives. If we help breathe new life into the economy, we're merely funding the agents of our oppression.
But now that I see what an incompetent dolt he is...I have an oddly elevated mood.
