The Dalek of the deep: Doctor Who's nemesis is found in pond
The Daily Mail Online ^ | 04th March 2009 | Daily Mail Reporter

Volunteer Marc Oakland was stunned when he pulled the head of a Dalek from the murky depths of a pond he was helping to clean. The 42-year-old sales executive found part of Doctor Who’s arch nemesis as he pushed a rake along the surface while wading waist-high in water. He said: ‘I’d just shifted a tree branch with my foot when I noticed something dark and round slowly coming up to the surface. ‘I got the shock of my life when a dalek head bobbed up right in front of me.’ ...

‘After doing some research, we discovered the BBC often took the daleks out on location for filming, and they travelled to Hampshire on at least one occasion in the 1980s, when Colin Baker played the Time Lord. ‘Jon Pertwee also made a few Doctor Who episodes in the county during the 1970s. ‘Who knows, this might be the remains of one of the originals from the old TV series. I’m told they they were built to last.’

You are exactly right. Don’t people watch movies anymore? They could end up with a murderous alien wandering the streets of London killing random people...oh, wait, I guess they already got a few of those...

I don't worry about DALEKs because I have this guy watching over me.

For the curious, my Mom made this out of modeling clay and cloth. She got a picture from a magazine, counted stitches for the scarf and managed to get Tom Baker to sign it on the belly at a convention in 1985 (or was it 84). He was rather flattered.

Nope, didn't know that......not sure I want to........

If that pic is of a good Dalek, what must a defective one look like? More mud? More sticks?

:-)

You mean you're a Dalek, Derly!?

This poor guy might be a relative!

Hmm! Wonder what that makes Darks and Sharkey?
