So there! What did I say? All he had to do was insist he did nothing wrong, make it plain they'd have to pry him out of his seat, and he'd be home free.

Shamelessness wins again.

They can’t find anybody in Chicago democrat machine politics that hasn’t been bribed or offered bribes so they’ll just let it ride.

Ever think the Rush controversy was created to distract from the Burris calls for resignation?

Hell! They can’t find anyone in that God forsaken party that’s clean! Burris is the best they can do.

If only the GOP had the same type of audacity and brazenness. I salute Sen. Burris, we need more people with that type of backbone... on our side.

Time for Burris to update his headstone.

They need his vote on upcoming theft legislation. The midterm elections can’t come fast enough.

I thought they were conducting an “investigation” of Burris. I guess someone was told to knock it off.

Expel him. He lied to get in (about pay-to-play, which was THE big reason he was challenged at all). One can only conclude that Democrats refuse to expel him because they fear being accused of racism or because they need his vote at the moment to overcome filibusters.

Whores.

Did it ever occur to anybody that he knows where the bodies are buried? The ILLinois mafia/politicians honor the code of silence.

Everyone refers to corrupt Chicago politics- they are all connected to each other-all the way to the boy in the white house. There are no stool pigeons.

Of course Burris gets what he wants. He knows too much.

Fellow Democrats are no longer demanding that Sen. Roland Burris resign. The new Illinois governor has stopped calling for a special election to replace him.

Dumb0 put in a call to the Chicago mob, who made them an offer they couldn't refuse?

The Dumocrats need him to pass the next Porkulus. They would never have passed the last one without him.

They were worried that Burris would lose them credibility. It just doesn’t seem to matter, so they don’t mind either. It’s all about polls and public perception. If people had gotten out and protested and kept up a phone and letter campaign, he’d be on his way out. Apathy has consequences.

Burris now completely beholden to Reid - slave and slavemaster. He is their shoeshine boy, bringing the coffee and doughnuts for the morning caucus, etc. He is now officially in lockstep with them. They want to keep him around.
