Despite efforts by the Obama political team and its surrogates to link Rush Limbaugh to the Republican Party, just 11% of GOP voters say the conservative radio commentator is the partys leader.
Eighty-one percent (81%) of Republican voters disagree and 8% are undecided in a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
Democrats, however, are closely divided-- 44% say Limbaugh is the Republican leader and 41% dont believe it. Among voters not affiliated with either of the major national parties, 27% say Limbaugh is the Republicans leader, while 58% say he is not and 15% are undecided.

I would like to see Rasmussen conduct the same poll only with Conservatives not republicans. I think those results would be interesting.

In a survey at the end of January, 56% of all voters said the Republican Party should return to the views and values of Ronald Reagan to be successful, and 85% of Republican voters agreed. Not surprisingly, Republicans and Democrats donât agree on the future direction of the GOP. Nearly two-thirds of Democrats (64%) say the Republican Party has become too conservative, but only 17% of Republicans share that view.

These morons are keeping it up..Rush is a person I started listening to a few years ago and I can tell you he has taught me so much about politics and the people in them..I like him because he tells it like it is...I started looking around for myself and found so much about the crooks that make up the democrat party btw Rush did not look this stuff up for me I did it on my own..As for the leader of the RNC well he should be, but is not..Rush is honest!I will continue to listen to his wise words until the day I die or until the democrat commies take him off the air..

Rush Limbaugh was 100% right (I caught part of it on his show yesterday during my lunch break) when he touched on philosophy.
Hooray Rush Limbaugh!
Hooray Rush Limbaugh!
Hooray Rush Limbaugh!

Were the question “Who is the conservative leader?” then many more (including myself) would vote “Yes.” Republicans and conservatives are two (sometimes completely) different things. By the end of the year, I predict a new conservative, Republican leader will be found as our spokesman (he may be an “old” name like Gingrich or a new name like “Jindahl”). Rush will continue to play his “leadership” role behind the microphone rather than on the public podium. The radio is the best medium in which he can serve America. Sarah Palin can serve best by being a public spokesperson for conservative Republicanism rather than running for the highest office. I envision her on the cabinet of the next Republican president ... in training for a serious run at the presidency.

This was a stupid question, badly worded. Everyone knows Rush is not a Republican Party leader, nor has he claimed to be.
So 11% is not surprising at all. This was ready made so the MSM can make it appear that only 11% like Rush.
I thought better of Rassmussen

To: TornadoAlley3
Wow, commonsense prevails. Rush holds no leadership position, nor does he claim to be a leader of the Republicans. Only the Democrats, in their propaganda, make him out to be the leader.
Emanuel, Begala, Stephenopoulus, and Carville are acting like little pricks.

The Republican Party Leadership is marching in one direction, the conservatives are marching in another...and this includes conservatives who have called themselves Libertarians, Democrats, etc.
Time for a NEW party.
