After detailed maps of local military operations and anti-government slogans were found in a south Minneapolis apartment, federal authorities are now involved in the investigation.
The three tenants were evicted from the property this weekend, but what they left behind has caught the interest of the FBI and Homeland Security.
A cleaning crew made the discovery shortly before 12 p.m. on Tuesday.
One of the workers told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS they noticed maps on the walls with government chains and commands.
Inside a closet, they found numerous rolls of maps. Authorities said the details are disturbing.
"We ran into a bunch of blue prints of Minneapolis-St. Paul Army Air Force property. It had thickness of walls, hour ratings, explosives and fires," said one of the men with the cleaning crew, who wished to remain anonymous.
They also discovered several bumper stickers with anti-government messages.
The crew then called Minneapolis Police who have since collected the items as evidence.
What exactly is an ‘hour rating’ and how would a ‘cleaning’ crew guy have analyzed the prints such that he recognized them?
I have no idea what an hour rating is, I was actually hoping someone else knew.
There are some “Christian Identity” types here in the Twin Cities, in fact ran into one yesterday - in Eagan.
Hmm, now what kind of stupid terrorist, domestic or otherwise would leave something like that, or the maps for that matter, behind?
This stinks like a 3 day old dead fish of Plant. By whom and why, is the question.
A loaded .50 BMG round is just under 5 1/2 inches long.
A 25mm round for the Bushmaster cannon is about 8.3 inches long.
Even the rounds for the mighty GAU-8 Avenger used in the A-10 to kill tanks is only about 11.4 in long.
The rocket from an AT-4 Light Anti-armor Weapon is 18 inches long.
Modern reporting leaves a bit to be desired.......
;-)
The first thing that came into my mind was a fire rating, but it could also be an amp rating - how much charge a battery will constantly deliver before it dies.
It’s impossible to know from the story, however.
Was this the old 0bama campaign headquarters?
_______________
LMAO!
At least there's nothing sinister about hour ratings. The National Fire Protection Association runs tests and classifies construction elements according to how long they remain intact in the presence of fire at a given temperature: 1-hour walls, 1-1/2-hour ducts, 2-hour fire doors, and so on. The results are published in the NFPA's annual handbook, which is a standard reference for the writers of U.S. building codes.
Serious stuff.
Thanks for the ping ButThreeLeftsDo.
All the more reason there must be a uniform created to identify patriotic dissenters from the islamic extremists.
Whats disturbing is the MSM cares not to discriminate and just identify anything anti-government as evil and diabolical.
Hmmm! I seem to get a whiff of trollitis here......
I don't believe any bonifide Freeper would equate the goals and techniques of Islamic jihad with the goals and techniques of those who will be part of the coming revolution.
Yep! Just as a precaution better issue a "possible":
TROLL ALERT!
3000 Park Av. is Park and Lake St., just on the edge of
“little Mogadishu”.
That’s why you’ll never see me in that part of town......
The problems will come out of their closets and caves and be right up front with their Rat Pack buddies.
Where any turbans found on the floor.
