Braking Hard: Around the Web in 80 Seconds [FR to be shut down by the Secret Service]
AirAmerica ^ | 3/3/2009 | By Beau Friedlander

Posted on 03/04/2009 3:54:57 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Freerepublic.com is going to get shut down by the Secret Service for threatening President Obama's life. If it doesn't happen because of a flimsy proviso in the post discussed here, then we live in a still more dangerous world.

Ugh. My computer feels unclean after going over there to read what it was that got their panties in a bunch.

Before leaving the site, I did have to read down a little, and you have to laugh at the comment that went something like “this is the result of Palin and her talk about Obama palling around with terrorists...”

This is a form of Orwellian doublethink...them talking about Obama palling around with terrorists while simultaneously pushing out of their mind the reality of Obama palling around with terrorists.

“Oceana is at war with Eastasia...we have ALWAYS been at war with Eastasia...”

OK Jim I have to confess. It can be proven that I have I contributed to this site. It can also be proven that I take drugs (Lipitor, Norvasc, and several others for high blood pressure and diabetes).

Am I the drug lord that they are looking for that has been funding you?

Talk about recursive loops...

Airheads referencing Kossaks referencing Huffers, and it goes on and on...

What a bunch of mouth-breathing morons.

Back in January I prepared a safe room to hide GLBT people and Muslims and anybody else that needed to flee the fascism.

That's like hiding wolves and lambs in the same cage. Expect a lot of beheaded GLBT bodies from that mix. Muslims have zero (public) tolerance for those "lifestyles". Privately, many are equally perverted.

I guess you can post anything you want as long as you don’t care if FR gets shut down or not. We should be treading lightly. Jim posted this. Did he think it was a joke?

I can't and don't post "anything".

I've been a member since 2002, and have not been suspended once. A FRiend of mine was suspended for 3 days because she made a joke about 0bama, and forgot to add the sarcasm tag. We are adults, and Jim treats us as such.

There are clear posting rules on the front page in case you haven't seen them.

What I am talking about is FREE SPEECH. This, along with the other rights you Americans have, have made the USA what it is! To paraphrase Rush, in 300 years, the USA has become the most successful country in the world BECAUSE of your founding documents, and it doesn't have to end.

Unless you let 'them' take away your rights!

"...The Bush policies come directly from the economic teachings of Milton Friedman, a man responsible for more death and destruction around the world than most people can imagine..."

Well, I don't know about that.

I think the teachings of people like Rachel Carson and other liberals who were the driving forces behind the banning of DDT were responsible for more deaths than some wrinkly old guy like Milton Friedman.

Can we get JimRob or someone to comment more . . . specifically about the REALITIES in this ballpark?

I hate to see us expend a lot of emotion and flailing about without some wise specific overview and direction from our Fearless leader.

I would have gone in, told them I hated Bush just to get a cupcake.

Then I would have accidentally dropped it on the ground, stepped on it and smeared it as far across the floor as I could force it to be spread.

No kidding.

Milton Friedman was the man that came up with the idea of with holding taxes from paychecks before it reached the employee. He regretted it later.

Milton Friedman came up with the idea of a negative income tax which we have in place today with earned income tax credits and other ways of doing essentially the same redistribution that Milton Friedman proposed with the negative income tax.

The leftists make up history as they see fit.

Milton Friedman even with the two mistakes mentioned above was the greatest advocate for freedom in the twentieth century.

I believe he has hired Shauna Daly for this stuff:

Shauna Daly, a 29-year-old Democratic operative, was named last month to the new job of White House counsel research director. Though she is inside one of the most powerful legal offices in the land, Miss Daly holds no law degree and doesn’t list any legal training on her resume.

Her sole experience has been as an opposition researcher for Democratic political campaigns: She helped dig up dirt on rivals, or on her own nominee to prepare for attacks.
