A collision between U.S. and Russian satellites in early February may have been a test of new U.S. technology to intercept and destroy satellites rather than an accident, a Russian military expert has said.
The February collision could be an indication that the U.S. has successfully developed such technology and is capable of manipulating 'hostile satellites,' including their destruction, with a single command from a ground control center, the general said.

Given who is saying this, therefore, the Russian government planned this collision.

"Russian general says U.S. may have planned satellite collision" Paranoid Russia, they will find a U.S. plot behind every breeze that isn't blowing their way.

From the WIRED article:
This isn't Shershnev's only wild military idea, apparently. The general allegedly served as a consultant for a doctoral program in "Consciousness-Based Military Defense" -- using meditation to end wars.

Yes he is right! Who spilled the beans? Yes, the U.S. can control all satellites in orbit and some that haven't even been launched! The rest of the world should be afraid, very much afraid!

YES. And that same Russian government does not hold the nonexistent letter that 0 did not write to them about his non-offer to not abandon the non-development and non-deployment of a nonexistent missile shield non-program in Eastern Europe not in exchange for no help with his non-problem with the non-problematic Iran. ;)

"Russian general says U.S. may have planned satellite collision" Translation: it is more likely than ever that THEY did it deliberately.

Paranoid Russia, they will find a U.S. plot behind every breeze that isn't blowing their way. They're not "paranoid". They're masters at putting out disinformation, especially when they're attempting to cover up something they themselves did. They know their comrades here in the states will run with it (the commie-led "anti-war" groups, etc).

Yes, the U.S. can control all satellites in orbit and some that haven't even been launched! Never mind! I guess the "and some that haven't even been launched!" part is the dead giveaway. :)

The same format used by the Clintons when they were in power.

Flown at high altitude and fired as a satellite passes overhead within a few hundred miles this high-energy chemical oxygen iodine laser mounted on an old 747 could do serious damage to a satellite.

A ground mounted laser could also do damage but is hampered by atmospheric interference whereas the high flying 747 is not.
A few dozen ground mounted lasers located in geographically distant locations could concentrate on a single object and destroy it...even if it was in a high geosynchronous orbit.

The Russians are masters at the game of chess, while most of us, unfortunately, have a difficult time understanding checkers. It’s why we are in this position today.
