Very articulate, Valerie! Urging all Virgnia Freepers to contact your VA Senators and Delegates to reaffirm state sovereignty as provided by the the 10th Amendment, and tell the Federal Goverment to stay out of the State's business.

Also of particular interest, see Arizona's addition of recalling of all Federal Virginian troops should the government declare martial law without state concurrence.

You can find your state and federal representatives here: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/

Let them formally, officially and repeatedly deny ALL federal “grant monies”, the way the fed puppeteers have long made the states dance to the feds’ tunes, and then I will begin to believe they’re serious.

What? Virginia's motto is the same phrase that John Wilkes Booth shouted after shooting Lincoln? I did not know that.

Great article! Added to the Tenth Amendment Archival Thread

Could you clarify this statement:

Also of particular interest, see Arizona's addition of recalling of all Federal Virginian troops should the government declare martial law without state concurrence.

I read something about AZ doing this with their deployed guard troops. Was the Virginian thing a typo?

If all the states who have threatened this would actually STAND UP and pass these resolutions/bills and tell the Feds to kiss off, then something good might come out of it.

Unfortunately, this is nothing but whimpy sword rattling, and most states with such measures introduced will let them die...

America and her people have lost the will to fight... a country of far too many sheep...

Chronic dependence wreaks psychological devastation, and is anathema to the pursuit of happiness.

I'd say that not only is such dependence anathema to the pursuit of happiness; it is also directly in opposition to spiritual growth, which comes from accepting personal responsibility. When your government forces you to support measures that prevent spiritual growth (which is the only reason for existence, imo) then it has become truly evil.
