The pot has issued the kettle an ultimatum: tax dodgers beware.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, who was forced to fork up $34,000 in unpaid back taxes, told the House Ways and Means Committee Tuesday that the Obama administration will be going after people who avoid and evade taxes.
In prepared remarks before Congress, he said the president is intent on "tackling tax shelters and other efforts to abuse our tax laws, including international tax evasion efforts."

If you expect this guy to play by the same rules as ordinary people, you obviously don’t understand exactly who he is.

Perhaps he should start with himself and then continue through the Cabinet and the rest of the 0bama appointees. Maybe he could collect enough money to pay off the astronomical debt that 0bama has incurred in only 5 short weeks.

That is so rich, it’s unbelievable.

I’ve been watching the (very overrated) Battlestar Galactica, and this guy reminds me of the Cyclon who lives with and works with the humans. Geithner can detect a tax cheat ‘cuz he IS one, and knows all their hangouts and secret passwords.

Starting in the Cabinet room? Heck, just station a revenue agent in every confirmation hearing room and we’ll halve the deficit in no time!

I watched a little of this A$$hat's testimony in the House today (A little was all I could stand).
This guy is the “Best” for this job. So good that we must overlook his criminal tax evasion in order to avail ourselves of his talent? BS
He came across as ill prepared, not knowing the facts. He was about as convincing as a five year old giving a show and tell presentation to his classmates.
He also kept inserting O’s Social Agenda into Treasury Policy promising to make Taxes more “Just” and to use it to “Adjust” for income disparity.
Frankly, as a trader in the Markets, it was all I could do to keep from selling every one of my Long Market Positions. This is scary and I think, with these people in charge, the Markets are headed much, much lower - If such a thing is possible.

Oh Gawd!!! Irony is too mild a word for the marxist thugs. Only republicans will be sought out, you watch.
Starting with the candidates who may run against them in 2010 and 2012.
Geithner is wanted back on the set of The Wizard of Oz. The lollipop gang need a new set of ears.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, who was forced to fork up $34,000 in unpaid back taxes, told the House Ways and Means Committee Tuesday that the Obama administration will be going after people who avoid and evade taxes. Since Geithner and friends were not concerned about tax cheats - I have to assume he means he's going to go after Republicans.
