With Party Leadership in Question, Limbaugh Flexes Clout in GOP
Fox News ^ | 3/3/09 | Judson Berger

Conservative mega-host Rush Limbaugh disavows descriptions that he is running the GOP -- and Republicans generally laugh off the idea that a radio jockey is telling them what to do -- but efforts by Democrats to cast the talkmeister as the man in charge may be starting to stick.

"It seems like Rush Limbaugh is the kind of he-who-must be-obeyed these days in the Republican Party," Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine told FOX News on Tuesday.

This from a party that WORSHIPS HUSSEIN!!!! BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

These clowns are working overtime to divide conservatives, aren't they? And imagine...they're trying to do it by attacking a private citizen expressing his political points of view.

Tolerance? Not with the Democrats. If you dissent from Hussein, they target you for destruction.

So thoughtful of Fox News to carry the water for the Dems again. Maybe they can hire the male airhead, Rick Sanchez, from CNN to really give it a go....

“What he said about Rush Limbaugh, a lot of people actually agree with,” she said. “His apology hurt him.” The only people who agree with what Steele said about Rush are Democrats.

But she is right, Steele’s apology did indeed hurt him, and it hurt him badly.

The Republican party wouldn’t have abandon conservative principles long ago in an effort to expand the voter base if Limbaugh was in control of the party.

Tim Kaine’s an idiot. I HATE the fact that he’s our state’s governor.

Actually this could work out for us. Limbaugh actually knows what the hell he is doing. This could be big, we should embrace it.

Just amazing. How can Fox take the Democrats side. Obama's administration gets questioned on nothing they do, yet a conservative pundit states his hope for this country and the MSM including Fox call it divisive.

Where have they been since 2003? Democrats used and said everything they could think of to make sure GWB failed and it was called their patriotic duty.

You’ve nailed it.....had Rush been head of the RNC, we’d be in a much, much better place than we are right now.

the entire media establishment has carried the meme out of the WH that Limbaugh is the ‘leader of the GOP’. Really?? based on what?? do you think Limbaugh has any real influence on the RINO’s running the party??

"had Rush been head of the RNC, we’d be in a much, much better place than we are right now."

Would the GOP be smart (a definite problem here), Rush should vet all potential GOP candidates and retreads.

Lame attempt to minimize Rush's influence on the conservative wing of the party. Just like when they refer to him as simply an entertainer. In reality, it would be hard to over estimate his influence.
God bless Rush!

Steele’s apology did indeed hurt him, and it hurt him badly.

Steele's apology didn't hurt him. His intemperate and stupid words hurt him. He took the Democrat bait and acted divisively. Limbaugh called him out on it and he apologized...somewhat.

Limbaugh doesn't run the GNC, but he's right. The RNC and the Republican Party should not be working to see that Obama's policies succeed. Obama's policies are wrong for America. Instead they should be working together to let America know how evil and wreckless these policies are, and putting forth sound economic policy to counter this Democrat idiocy.

But what do they do? They (not only Steele) join in in attacking the most articulate spokesman for conservatism. That's not right. That's stupid and divisive. And THAT'S what hurt Steele.

The democrats are loving this feud. The sooner we move on from this the better.

Here's a little test.

Name one Republican Party official, Senator, Representative, former President, Governor ( well, maybe Sarah Palin) or state official that people would want to listen to for 15 hours a week (and be thoroughly po'ed if he took a day off) instead of Rush.

Any momentum coming out of this past weekend’s CPAC conference has been handed to the Obama administration and they are running with it. What in the hell is going on with this party. In terms of weakening the Republican Party, talk radio is equally as responsible as the Rinos for the mess this party is in by its weak support for Reublican candidates during the last election.

Sorry but weak conservative principles are responsible for the weakening of the Republican Party. If they held true to conservative values, there would be nothing for Rush or talk radio to criticize. Don't blame radio for weak candidates and RINOs. I am sickened by what the party offers these days...but it's a hell of a lot better than Socialism.

If the head of the DNC said it, it must be true. And depend on FOX to report it just that way!

True. Dems know that if we have in fighting amongst ourselves, it takes the ball off of them and their incompetence. We should take our anger and focus it on the Obama administration and how they are taking this country down. I think they are taking it down intentionally. Keep the heat on this administration.
