NRA member here. Haven’t heard of the other group, but glad they are out there.

I like target shooting. Not a fan of sport hunting. I am an animal lover, and believe they should only be hunted to be eaten.

For me, guns are best used on two-legged vermin.

But none of those are what the 2A is all about.

That would be, of course, the two-legged vermin you cite.

You might be surprised at how many avid hunters feel the same way. That's how I was brought up, as well as all my hunting friends. We hunt every year, rarely come home empty handed, and there isn't a single trophy on any of our walls, and our freezers are well stocked.

I wouldn't mind taking part in a wolf hunt, but at the same time I won't because don't eat wolf.

Get a load of this! GUN WEEK newspaper (March 16, 2009) reports that the State Department is looking into banning the import and export and of MILITARY CALIBER RIFLES and ammo, 5.56mm, .223, .308 Nato, .308 Winchester, .50, including BOLT ACTION RIFLES.

GW also reported the Government is trying to DEFINE what is SNIPER RIFLE based on barrel weight and diameter and rifle twist.

Get ready for it!

At this point it makes no difference whether you are a meat hunter, varmint hunter, target shooter, personal defense shooter, gun collector or just someone who likes to go out in woods and go Bang every once in a while.

We need to stand united and actively resist passage of this ban.

Please allow me to express my belief by that by mobilizing millions of law abiding gun owners the "assault weapon" ban proposed by Attorney General Holder will spell an end to the Democratic majority in the House and Senate in 2010.

Of course, that assumes that you let us have elections in 2010. After all, if you can legislate the Second Amendment out of existence who is to say you can't legislate Article One, Sections Two and Three out of existence as well.
