President Barack Obama unveiled a new emblem Tuesday that will be used on projects funded by the economic stimulus package.
The emblem covers most of the basics of the $787 billion package — gears representing infrastructure, a red cross representing health care, a plant representing green technology — as well as flag-like stars and Recovery.gov, the Web site that will track the progress of stimulus projects.
A White House press release said the emblem “is a symbol of President Obama’s commitment to the American people to invest their tax dollars wisely to put Americans back to work.”

That’s what the economy has been waiting for; a new emblem.
Seven and a half stars, two gear wheels with a red cross in one of them and a pot plant. Now we’re on the right track.
I wonder how much Obama paid for the emblem.
I forsee a loud protest by Libs followed by a quiet redesign to eliminate the cross.
What is this man’s obsession with symbols, signs and settings? One would have thought the styrofoam columns would have been the worst of it, and he would have learned by now.

He understands the sheeple. They need to ‘feel good’ about everything the government does. It’s called marketing—packaging, name recognition, warm and fuzzy branding. Don’t for a minute underestimate the power of what he’s doing here, nor should you think it won’t work. People will trade their liberty for a feel-good moment—just look at what they did in mass to assuage their white guilt on 11/4?
