Barack Obama's push: Make Rush Limbaugh appear to be the face of the GOP
Chicago Tribune ^ | 3-2-09 | Peter Nicholas

he Obama White House has begun advancing an aggressive political strategy: convincing the country that the real power behind the Republican Party is not the GOP leaders in Congress or at the Republican National Committee, but rather provocative radio talk show king Rush Limbaugh.

President Barack Obama, top presidential aides and outside Democratic allies have been pushing the message in unison.

*snip*

With the White House working to make Limbaugh the face of the GOP, it is getting some outside assistance.

A tax-exempt group that supports progressive causes — Americans United for Change—is helping finance a television ad that claims GOP leaders are beholden to the radio host. The ad closes with Limbaugh saying of Obama, "I want him to fail."

*snip*

Brad Woodhouse, president of Americans United for Change, said the group has discussed the ad campaign with the Democratic National Committee. Woodhouse is joining the DNC next week as its communications director.

Asked whether the White House was notified about the ad, Woodhouse said: "They certainly are aware—I'm sure they're aware of what we're doing."

I wish today’s Republicans were more like, well, Republicans.

I’m not so sure anymore that they’re plants for the left.

Steele, and the rest of the “nice-guy” pansy-assed Republicans can go pound sand.

We need to root them out like so many pests and dispose of them.

It’s time to weed the garden, Republicans!

It’s time to s**t-can the betas and get some real men in power.

I’m sick and tired of hairless little boys running the show.

These pliable, oily, sophisticated used-car salesmen NEED TO GO!

Eggless unics do not make good politicians, sorry Mr. Franken.

Sweep the betas out of power!

Before the economic crisis, McCain/Palin had a much higher chance of winning...atleast the polls said so.

They’re going after Rush for one reason - they fear his message. They’re masters of harnessing groupthink for their own purposes. Groupthink on Rush is that he’s mean, nasty and ugly. Listeners know that the only thing he’s ugly about are the creed of big government, and those who follow that creed.

Rush is one of the few Republican voices unabashedly defending capitalism, and that is EXACTLY what this country needs right now.

Selling the concept of capitalism, the only economic system consistent with the concepts of individual liberty upon which this country was founded, is the only message that has any chance of turning this country around.

Let them attack Rush. It’ll give him a louder voice and might even embolden some Republican politicians to join the chorus.

**Republicans and Limbaugh need to point out that the stock market has tanked since Obama’s election.**

And the real ROLL UP of Gas prices started right around the election of ‘06 when Dingy Harry and “Icantfeelmyface” Pelosi took over the Government.

Hey Rahm.... Piss off, you are GOING to fail..........

Shucks---I thought that said Rahm was going to "jail."

BACKSTORY The morning after Limbaugh's blockbuster CPAC speech, Rahm Emanuel told CBS' Face the Nation's Bob Schieffer that Limbaugh was the "voice of the Republican Party."

Bob Scheiffer valiantly swam against the tide of lies spewing out of Rahm Emanuel's double-talking mouth.

Question after question, Emanuel stuck to his lies---and cruelly refused to give Scheiffer a lifeline. It is appalling that this individual---Emanuel---is making US policy.

FACE THE NATION EMAIL..................... ftn@CBSnews.com

If President Obama wants credibility as he undertakes a massive restructuring of the US economy, ASAP he should dump Emanuel----this pretentious, pitiless master of agitation and propaganda.

=============================

The thought of this litte twep in our WH is nauseating.

Here's the "patriot" expressing his feelings for America on inauguration day.

Rahm is just a pukeneo dressed up like a Democrat. Just like the pukes, he will take cover behind his hidden agenda until AFTER the damage has been done.

Obama should remember that the devious pukes duped Bush. Obama should save himself while he still can-—or go down in history as another stupid dupe. Rahm’s emails and cell phone records should be made public——would indicate which pukes he’s taking orders from.

Barack Obama’s push: Make Rush Limbaugh appear to be the face of the GOP”

Good!
I'd much rather have Rush as the “face of the Republican Party” than have Joseph Stalin, aka Comrade Barak Obama as the leader of the US of A.

Good, as long as he is arguing with RUSH it takes time away from ruining our economy and country.

Good! Michael Steele doesn't seem to be leading. There's no “leaders” in the Senate that can reign in the 3 party traitors. There's no “leaders” in the House because Nancy can run roughshod over them.

If it takes a Rush to be the leader then I'm proud to have him as mine and he's one leader that won't back down and compromise our principles.

Obama send out his guarddogs (media)

No, those are his lapdogs.

His guard dogs are Emanuel, Axelrod, Carville, Stephanopoulos, Begala, and (waiting in the shadows) Ayers.

Bill Ayers is his Che Guevara in waiting, his executioner in waiting.

Tim Geithner should be the face of the Obama Administration.

But he seems to be in hiding.

The GOP can choose to panic and say “No, no, he’s not our real voice! Why would you say such a thing?” or they can start growing a backbone and calling out the WH on this crap.

Absolutely right. Remember what those scum did to Rush, Newt, and Bob Dole during the two years of "fifteen minutes hate" that the MSM drive-bys ran against them in 1994-1996, just for being in the way of Bill Clinton's reelection. That was when the term "Clinton-haters" was coined by a TIME magazine political hackette.

Remember Newt's "Man of the Year" magazine cover? It was a monument of We Hate Your Guts hate-propaganda portraiture. I was amazed Gingrich let them take his picture, knowing what scum they were. They sauced it up with green and red gel treatments and screens to bring out his fatigue wrinkles and five o'clock shadow (a la Nixon) ..... and then the same self-regarding jackasses got their panties in a wad years later when TIME pulled the same kind of photo-stunt with their O.J. cover, "darkening" his photo to make him look more menacing. And O.J. was a murderer, not the Speaker of the House.

I think conservatives, starting with Michael Steele and going right on down the line, need to take a page from Clinton's book and call these guys out on everything, immediately, in the same news cycle, beginning with their picking a fight with Rush, whom they think they can demonize the way they did Newt.

Remember, Obama used a "bipartisanship" sit-down with the GOP congressional leadership to start this attack on Limbaugh. So return the favor, and knock his block off. You want a fight, propaganda boy? You and your pseudojournalist agitprop pukes? Let's go.

I see Rahm’s four fingers in this ... BIG time. He’s really into this kind of bloodsport.

Then let's get him a new nickname ...... "Stumpy".

Good. This fool, without realizing it, would make the most powerful voice of freedom and conservatism the “face” of the Party, which is sure better than McCain or Steele.

It's not the first time they have tried this strategy. ....You can bet Clintonites are involved.

Someone got phone logs and showed hundreds of calls being made per day among Rahm Emanuel, Paul Begala (at CNN), James Carville, and George Stephanopoulos (at ABC).

You're absolutely right -- and half of them are working as termites inside the MSM.

That was one of the best shows I have heard from him. I think so too. I can hear the fear and sadness in Rush yesterday.

He is ringing the warning bell and I think we better listen to him.

Also, his words yesterday may give other conservative talk hosts the courage to speak out more forcefully.

See post #104. Says it far better than I can. Rush's popularity polls have nothing to do with anything.
