And he told the troops last week that their pay will increase.

Count on a lot more people being out of work. Military
spending provides a lot of jobs for the economy, but when
you plan to collapse the economy every little bit helps.

The VERY first attack against the Republic, this sorry SOB should be impeached for failing to protect the country. Stupid ass. Cut our defense and give it to Hamas to buy bombs with.

The budget summary pleads “scarce resources” for the defense shortfall, which is preposterous given the domestic spending blowout.

More ominously, Mr. Obama’s budget has overall defense spending falling sharply starting in future years — to $614 billion in 2011, and staying more or less flat for a half decade.

We’ve knew he would do this. But now it’s time for the rest of the American people to open their eyes and vote him out of office in 2012. The MSM will not be able to speak for the American People forever.

And he told the troops last week that their pay will increase.

Military pay will increase, as it always does.

The FY10 Defense Budget is actually a 4% increase from FY09 (including all the war supplementals, etc.)

In the outyears the growth is stopped.

So the INCREASES in the Defense budget will be cut, not the actual defense budget - sort of like when Democrats were screaming about Reagan's "massive cuts in social programs" when he was just reducing the rate at which spending on them increased.

During the campaign he promised to spend nothing on new weapons research.

That's not going to happen and I strongly suspect that's not what he actually said.

Ok. But I would think in this time we are in, we should be increasing spending.

He will cut and cut and cut. He doesn’t like our military and he also feels that the world outside of the US isn’t going to be a problem. He is far more concerned about inside the US. He wants his civilian army, loyal only to him(ACORN THUGS)and he needs the funds for that. “ As large, as well armed and as well funded as our current military” but he left off what he really means “and loyal only to me, not the constitution”.
If he begins to form that Civilian Force and he is allowed to accomplish it, you better head for the hills of leave the country. They will disarm, there will be no more elections and the coup will be complete.

I was called by Quinnepac and polled ..I said “disapprove” of Obama’s plans over and over and over. Of course I identified myself as a Republican so they may throw out my answers.

America has made a terrible mistake and we are all going to pay the price.

Clinton called it the “peace dividend”. And then it was considered GW Bush’s “fault” when we had to keep national guard on service as was done under Clinton (when he downsized the troops).

If I disagree with the RINO Republican party, does that make me an “independent”? They like to poll more independent Democrats than they do Republicans.

Wrong. He is an alinskyite and a hard core Marxist. Whis whold personna resembles Ho Chi Minh but he has attained power much earlier in his life than Bac Ho did. We are in more serious trouble than most folks want to think about. The Capitalist Economy is to Obama what the French were to Ho. The two men have/had very similar personalities and goals and dedication to those goals.

Same with Clinton. Shall we expect a 40% cut?

Same with Carter. How much did he cut? Figure that amount in 2009 dollars and add 25% and it should be about ummm on the money. Sorry. Had to.

And how will Sens. Snowe and Collins explain it when contracts to the shipyards in Kittery and Bath start to dry up?
