‘Fortune’ Rush Critic: Don’t Debate Details, ‘We Need Action!’

If this is the voice of one of the nation’s most influential financial magazines, this country is in bigger trouble than I thought . . .

On Morning Joe today, Andy Serwer, Fortune magazine managing editor, criticized Rush and condemned criticism of details of the Obama budget because “we need real action.”

The clip was rolled of Rahm Emanuel on yesterday’s Face The Nation describing Rush as the driving force behind the Republican party, and complimenting him on his candor in calling for Pres. Obama to fail. Pat Buchanan jumped in to defend Rush’s criticism, pointing to the tax increases on the most productive members of society included in the Obama plan.

That’s when Serwer made his odd declaration . . .

I’m waaay out of the loop these days- wasn’t Serwer on CNN for years?

Odd breed of capitalist who, standing on the brink of utter ruin says, “Jump”!

You’re right: “Before becoming managing editor of Fortune, Serwer was a regular contributor on CNN’s “American Morning”, and was a co-host of CNN’s In The Money.”

I was once, over 50 years ago, a Golden Gloves boxer. My dad was my trainer. He constantly grilled into me that I MUST NOT let my opponent get me mad. He would tell me that anger is not your friend in a fight, it robs you of your ability to consider your actions.

I think it's a great sign that Rush angers the opposition so completely and totally! They had the same problem with Dubya, but he's pretty much gone from the scene. Rush just keeps on going, the Energizer Bunny of the conservative movement! It's gone from BDS to RDS. That's great!

They are so eaten up with hatred and anger when the subject of Rush comes up that they no longer realize that all their machinations intended to demonize Rush only serve to further enshrine him in the hearts of those who love him! And, even better, they make a lot of people listen to Rush, just to see what all the fuss is about, who would never have tuned in otherwise.

Keep up the good work, guys!

Trillions of dollars are not “details”.

You know, I mean, this is a real crisis. This is not something to fight about little provisions of budgets. I mean, we need some real action here.

The is the Democraps whole philosophy.

Every thing is a crisis. We have to be in full panic mode.

We have to do something now! It has to be effective now! We can’t wait and figure out what is the correct thing to do because we don’t have time.

So lets do everything. It doesn’t matter if some (or most) of those things are the wrong thing to do because we have to do something NOW!!!!

complimenting him on his candor in calling for Pres. Obama to fail.

I could hardly care less about Obama. What I want to fail is his actions that are intended to destroy the America that was laid out by our founder fathers and that millions of Americans have fought and died for in the past 250 some years.
Obama is just a man, President come and they go. What must indure is our Nation

He doesn't want to ask questions because then he will be forced to admit that the new Emperor simply has no clothes.

And the print media still wonders why they are being driven into extinction...

Yep, ignore that trap door in the belly of the horse. Just pull it in through the city gates.

Stupid means lacking intelligence or common sense, or, in other words, a moron. Does Andy want the US Government to support and control Fortune magazine as well as the New York Times? Is there a "Pravada" equivalent to magazines, I wonder?

Our “rising stars.”...

“Nobody in the GOP wants President Obama to fail.” -Eric Cantor.

“Anyone who wants the president to fail is an idiot.” -Mark Sanford

With leaders like these, why worry about the enemy?

What we are witnessing is like a bunch of people in a lifeboat that is taking on water. Instead of bailing like a normal person, this lunatic grabs an ax and starts chopping a hole in the bottom of the boat to let the water drain out. That’s not the crazy part. The crazy part is that more than half of the people cheer him on and shout, “At least he’s DOING something!”

We have made the biggest mistake in American history.

It will destroy the greatest country the world has ever known.

I agree with Rush.

Most conservatives do not like Bush and for very good reasons and it has nothing to do with BDS.

BDS can also be defined as someone unable to see Bush as the RINO he really is.

I use BDS only as it applies to Liberals and all the time and effort they have spent trying to demonize him.

Conservatives have a valid reason to dislike Dubya. There's a big difference between the feelings conservatives have for him and the unbridled hate Liberals exhibit.

As much as so many of us would have liked to see a different, genuinely conservative, Bush he at least kept America relatively safe from terrorist attacks such as 9/11. I know many consider his lack of border control an act of terrorism in itself. Bush, despite his shortcomings, left us an America and a conservative movement that lives to fight again!
