Capping Carbon Emissions May Increase Energy Rates, Orszag Says (America, YOU'VE BEEN PUNKED!)
ABC ^ | 3/1/2009 | MARY BRUCE

Posted on 03/01/2009 5:35:22 PM PST by tobyhill

Office of Management and Budget Director Peter Orszag admitted this morning that capping carbon emissions may increase energy prices but said Americans would receive other benefits through President Obama's budget.

"Let's be fair about this," Orszag said in an exclusive "This Week" interview with George Stephanopoulos.

"Either you're going to look at what is collected through the tax code and what's returned through the tax code. And on that basis, there's a tax cut for 95 percent of Americans, or you have to go all in. Let's also count the benefits that families get through Pell Grants, the benefits that they'll receive through constraining health care costs, the benefits that they get from weatherizing their homes, and so on. All in, this budget makes the vast majority of American families much better off."

Like the vast majority of working Americans, my response is "thanks, but no thanks". Even if spreading the wealth made me better off, it would still be stealing, still immoral, still wrong, and I would still refuse.

And that (too) is a pure lie: Every energy rate will go up. There is NO benefit to ANY American.

(Except Hansen, Gore, and Soros.)

What this little punk fails to tell the gullible morons who voted for BO is that a two-income-family will get a measly $65/mo. reduction in taxes for ‘09 and possibly ‘10, and this hike in their electric bills will probably eat that up and then some. Also, taxes will have to go up in ‘11...way up...for everyone because the liar bases his economic fantasy on a growth rate of SIX PERCENT to make it work. That is China’s growth in a good year. We cannot do it.

The benefit we will get eventually when each of us gets our daily bowl-of-rice-with-fishhead-on-top is less dishes to wash. Great Leader, always thinking of us.

So far from what I’ve read I get no benefits from this budget. Neither do most Americans except freeloaders. The guy is crazy.

Now that we have left you with almost none of your own money, you will vote and behave the right way, or you will see nothing from your all powerfull government.

This carbon tax increase will increase the cost of production to utility companies and large businesses. That coast will be passed on to ......us.

The carbon tax will increase the cost of shipping. That cost will also be passed on to.....us.

The stores need heat and electricity, too, and that additional cost will be passed on to......us.

That means the cost of goods and services will increase at least three fold.

If the consumer ( already burdened by the democrats housing for welfare recipients bill and the increased cost of their energy needs) cannot afford to buy, food and supplies will be limited.
In order for all of us to "share the goods and services equally", there will have to be rationing. Of course, in order to make sure "The evil rich" don't get more than their "fair" share, a computer chip in the right hand or forehead will have to be instituted to keep track of things ......"for our own good", of course. It's the only way to get us through this great tribulation, right? The False Messiah will take care of us all as long as we bow down and worship him.

I did a double take on this because I thought it was a satire. Using this logic why shouldn’t we just give all of our money to the government since they know how to spend it better than we do.

Boy, those who voted for Oboma to receive an extra (taxable) $13 dollars a week in their paychecks are going to feel pretty foolish when the bills start adding up - to say the least.
They've gained about $13 and lost thousands. The False Messiah has saved them all - from prosperity.

What financial instruments can be traded to capitalize on this carbon insanity? We might as well profit from it, and then donate some of our profits to conservatives.
