I am with you.

However, to all FReepers

There is a marketing question:

Do we run against Obama next year, or do we run against Congressional Liberals?

While Obama’s numbers are high, and while Congress's numbers remain low, many will say we should attack the Dems in Congress.

Perhaps.

I just remember the ads morphing Bill Clinton into Dem Dan Glickman, so that Tiahrt could win.

It is still “honeymoon” time, and our Republican elected officials don't want to take off the gloves just yet.

I think they also want to see if a rift can be started, between two HUGE egomaniacs: Pelosi and Obama!

“bla bla bla bla bla, everyone hopes the president succeeds. Bla bla bla.”

Followed out logically...does that mean he supports the Socialistic Coup Obama is attempting?

Dear Republican leadership, GOP Etc.;

“Cantor is squishy, but the headline implies that he expressedly repudiates Rush. I didn’t hear that.”

Cantor is getting more and more ‘squishy’ by the day. I am not liking what I am hearing from him or Steele today. They both missed a golden opportunity to echo Rush’s comments....that ‘We Do Not Want Our Country To Fail’...which will happen with Obama’s socialist policies!

It is time to start taking this straight to Obama’s doorstep and stop pussy footing around just because he is America’s first black president. Obama is a marxist....it doesn’t matter what color he is!

I don't think he repudiated Rush at all. He was asked a typically leading question from a liberal "journalist" (i.e. - a Democrat political operative) as to whether he agreed with Rush's approach of "wanting Obama to fail", and he answered by saying that it was "absolutely not" his approach. That is not the same thing as "repudiation" of Rush Limbaugh.

Cantor is a congressman in a position of responsibility where he cannot say the kinds of things that Rush Limbaugh says, even if he agrees with them. In this instance, he was very clear about his support for free markets and smaller government, and that Obama's "appraoch" was one with which he strongly disagreed.

My guess is that Cantor will revise and extend his remarks in a press release tomorrow - to specifically state that he wasn't repudiating Rush.

We'll see.

Why would any Republican prostrate themselves before a Clinton butt-boy, or any MSM “show”.

Why do they spend their Sunday's being lectured to by Democrat hacks pretending to be journalists.

Why do Republicans continue to give these poseurs credibility? How will they/we defeat the MSM this way?

I have been asking this question for 20 years.

Still no answer.

Wasn’t little Eric at BO’s stupid and mis-named “Responsibility Summit,” letting himself be used as a prop for The One’s claim of “bipartisanship”?
Hey, maybe he can replace John McCain someday as the Dems favorite doormat Republican.

This is a terrible, misleading title for this piece. He spent maybe ten seconds out of five minutes talking about Rush...and then it was a side issue where the question was set up by the interviwewer which Cantor basically brushed off.

IMHO, Cantor is being too PC and too political about handling the President and his plans. The fact is, as he says, Pelosi does not need a single of the 178 Republicans votes to pass her agenda...but what Cantor does not say is that she is afraid to do that consistantly because it will leave her and her crew of hard leftists out their waving in the wind alone.

Cantor needs to take the battle to these people. He says rightly that our message of limited government, lower taxes, and a strong free market is the answer and that we want that to succeed. He acts as if though he can convince Obama to adopt that tract and thereforte we should not want Obama to fail.

But Obama is not on that tract. He never has been and he never will be. Obama is a marxist ideology who is using liberal majorities in the house and Senate to destroy the very thing Cantor is for.

...and in that, by God we DO want Obama to fail (just as Rush says) and should be pushing with everything we have, standing on principle, using the power of the filibuster in the Senate to do all we can to ensure that he does.

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH ABOUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA IN HIS OWN WORDS

OBAMA, THE STOCK MARKET, AND ENERGY

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH ABOUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA'S UPBRINGING

IT'S TIME FOR A RETURN TO THE OLD SCHOOL

You guys, Rush hasn’t declared war on the Democrat party- he’s declared war on the REPUBLICAN PARTY! And rightfully so.

Rush should have mentioned that everything the Admin is doing now, smacks at communism. He neglected to even mention communism and I think that was a mistake. Most people hate the idea of communism and would rally around an effort to stop it in this country.

Cantor contradicts himself.

First he says that limited Gov and the private sector is what is gonna get us out of the recession, then he says that he doesnt want Obama to fail.

Besides that... he said a while lot of nothing.

Gawd Almighty. what does it take until people around here catch on?

Uh....FR is a CONSERVATIVE site. CPAC is a conservative entity.

Cantor, Steele etc AKA republicans. The GOP is no longer a home for conservatism.

Now is the time to say adios to the GOP and make a new home. The GOP would have nothing left in a very short time. Think Whigs.

What was Cantor suppose to do? Rush’s statement has been explained again and again. The MSM continues to throws it in as an attempt to bring the conversation to a screeching halt. I don’t blame Cantor for skipping over it with a minute to go.

Why on earth would anyone want bambi & his cohorts to succeed?

It would be more acceptable to me if the only ones
suffering because of their choices were Cantor & Steele.

this is where the “rugged individualism” that Reagen and Rush talk about becomes our achillies heel.

Sure the Tea Parties went off.....but the individualism of the conservatives, does not bring it like a group of “angry” socialists can......and therefore does not garner the media coverage either

Becuase of that the left will continue to be able to put pressure on a Rush, a Palin, a Romney ...ie pik them off 1 by 1 with outcry ......but no actual action.

Its going to take some commitment to a “group action” by conservatives...which goes against everything our instincts are.....but better to group early vrs. die 1 by 1

Sorry to see Cantor so easily manipulated by a lightweight like George Stephanopoulos.

If Obama succeeds, America fails.

I had hopes for Cantor, but can now see he isn’t up to the task.

His remarks about Rush occur at about the 7:48 second mark. It’s a response to George’s question/statement to Cantor “so the republican’s approach is not the Rush’s Limbaugh approach that he wants the president to fail.” Cantor’s response is, something to the effect, “No...absolutely not...we don’t want anything to fail...we have such challenges right now...” yada...yada...yada.

Well, if so, then he's an absolute jerk. Of course we want Obama to fail, since his plans are destructive to our country and to human life. Doesn't he realize that the job of an opposition is to OPPOSE? Doesn't he realize that he is virtually saying that the Republicans need to support everything Obama does?

What a clown. I'm deeply disappointed, because Cantor has looked very good on most issues.

* * * * * * *

He hinted at it when he mentioned that the root word of community is commune.
