The Talk Shows
Sunday, March 1st, 2009
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen; Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., and Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Office of Management and Budget Director Peter Orszag; House Republican Whip Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN) : Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen.
Pelosi says that we do need some troops in Iraq “but they don’t necessisarily have to be in country.”
Typical incoherent statement from a woman who should have no power whatever.
MTP doesn’t come on here for another hour....and I do have a hard time watching. Gregory is not terrific as a host as he typically lets his liberal guests ramble and interrupts his conservative guests. Indeed, his ratings have been stumbling; although MTP is still the number one Sunday show, the others are catching up.
I’m watching Mullen on FNS, nothing revealing so far (admitting that I just tuned in late).
Gregory appears to be hoping for civil war in Iraq when we leave.
Wallace pins down the Admiral that there never were proposed Iraq budgets that would justify Obama’s talk about savings from cutting back in Iraq.
NBC has as much credibility talkin the war as Barney Frank does talkin up christian marriages
CPAC
Romney wins preference straw poll, 3rd year in a row.
[Romney and Huckabee hanging on as long as they could are what gave us McCain. Had the ‘conservatives’ centered on A candidate, they might have mounted a challenge. Instead, they split the primary votes, allowing McCain to triangulate to a nomination win; thus giving Obama the general election win.]

Weekend crew on Fox&Friends are rehashing Rush’s speech.
[Just play clips, guys. We don’t need your interpretations.]
ROTFLMBO! Wondering what could Speaker GoofyNuts think "in country" could possibly mean.
that POS said this was was a loss
Mullen just admitted that they are continuing the Bush policy wrt the attacks inside Pahkeeestahn (quote Obama); he didn’t come right out and say it, but he said it. Obama, the narcisist takes credit for increasing attacks on AQ, when we all know, the narcisist is just continuing what Bush implemented. Snicker, snicker.
Thanks for the addresses - I’d like to ask Chris Wallace if he’s ever read the UCMJ. What a waste of airtime trying to see if an active duty 4-star will criticize the current president or Congress on national TV.
Good. Gates won’t get into clandestine ops in Pakistan, despite Gregory’s prodding.
I am listening to FNS, rather than watching it. The Admiral’s voice is so similar to Juan Williams, that I wonder if they went to the same school, or grew up in the same neighborhood.
So strange to hear military discussion from “Jusn”.
I also wonder if I am hearing the same kind of hesitation and uncertainty of the belief in the message that I always hear when Juan speaks.
I meant to type Juan.
Has Gregory asked why Obama refused to credit Bush and the surge in his address to the troops last week? Or the fact that Obama never used the term “victory” in that speech?
(Joke questions Bahbah, we know Gregory would never ask a question that puts “The One” in a bad light).
Gregory implies Iraq made it impossible to do anything about Iran.
Gates says BS (I paraphrase).
Shame on Steele; this makes me have little/no respect for him. The RNC can kiss my membership good bye.
That is a HUGE disappointment. Nothing Rush said was ugly. It never is. People just don't listen carefully. I am so disappointed in Steele over this.
good !!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAR ON
if RINOS show their horns Rush, shoot em
Seeing how it was “entertainers” like Rush, Sean, Ann, and Mark who defended him vehemently when he was being destroyed by Schumcky and the DBM.
