Sadly - Rush refuses to acknowledge that the nation is overrun with miscreants, morons, slobs, welfare addicted, Leftists, fagots, career criminals, lifelong drug addicts, whores, pimps and your general run of the mill assholes..

The Democrats have succeeded in their goal:

They have society reduced to the lowest common denominator and ripe for the introduction of the super nanny state...

It may already be too late to reverse the toilet flush.

Rush pointed that out at least once in his speech.

He made a very good point that the Dems could easily wipout the Republican party by asking Americans to be the best that they can be; only they don’t want that. They’d prefer that we are told how much we need the government’s help so that they can step in with the answers. And that they have succeeded in making dependents....

I was pumped after watching the short 1hr+ speech. You’re lamenting the decline and fall of America when the restoration of our principles requires optimism.

You really ought to at least listen to the speech before you complain about what was or was not in it.

lol! Rush knows all about those. And so do you and I. And?

When haven't thieves, deceivers, and liars not been among us? It's a John Wayne "True Grit" moment in our nation's history. We either answer that call or we don't.

Don't let the cunning "whisperers" ruin your day, and nag and take over your psyche - you know, those "voices" that make one fearful. It's "300" time. Raise your shield, shake your spear. It's how the best parts of history have happened. And it's now. Again.

Life really is more about how we "see" than how we "look".

“It may already be too late to reverse the toilet flush.”

ANY American I know would never think that way.

One of Rush's most important and salient points was the fact that America is still and can still be "The Shining City on the Hill," while Obama and the leftists only see how terrible everything is. He was the optimist in his speech. He wasn't about to go off and say how there just aren't enough "good guys" left to do anything! And while I agree that there are plenty of the sort mentioned above running around, I'm not about to concede that some sort of critical mass has been achieved, and the majority of people are of that sort.

I do believe that the vast majority of people in the US are a combination of decent, hardworking, yet complacent folk. And Rush pointed out that the vast majority of people already have core beliefs and live their lives in a way that make them primarily conservative. It's just that they're too busy in their daily lives trying to make their childrens' futures better to "get involved" in politics, because frankly, most believe that they can't make a difference. Heck, I know that I've felt that way, after meeting multiple times with my congress-critters, even getting put on one's "do not disturb" list!

The point of Rush's speech is that the USA is a source of goodness in the world, and the source of the goodness is her people. And we just need to get more people to recognize that, and to come over and vote the way that they already believe and live their lives.

Sadly, you seem to be very wide of the mark. He regularly takes the detritus to task.

“Long haired, maggot infested, anabanana, good time rock and roller” is one of his favorite descriptives and is short hand for those you noted.
