Awww... :o( I can remember my daddy coming in for lunch in Utah in the 50’s to listen to Paul Harvey while he ate. Got ME started on the path to Conservatism. May he rest in peace, and may his family be blessed.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Ern. Losing your mother is never easy, regardless of your or her age, or circumstances.

I grew up in a rural town and would sometimes walk home from the nearby school to eat lunch at home. I remember sitting at the kitchen table with my Dad listening to Paul Harvey. Thanks Mr. Harvey.

<Through many a radio address I learned a great deal of American history over the years.

Same here. I remember he mentioned ‘Spoon River Anthology.’ I thought I was familiar with American lit, but didn’t recall the title and decided to read it. It may seem a little dated to some, but from today’s vantage point, it’s more like a look into small town American history. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I would never have read that book had Harvey not mentioned it. So, thanks, Mr. Harvey, RIP.

I have been wondering how much longer Paul would make it.

Son of a Tulsa, Oklahoma policeman killed on duty.

Decades ago, while at university, my buddy and I would head back to the apartment at noon to eat lunch and listen to “Paul”. The peanut farmer was pres. then, and he was dismantling the world we knew his way. Nothing like obambi though.

We had hot cars from the late 60’s and early 70’s no gas, no money and a huge recession going on.

Paul, you never disappointed me. You are in a better place. My condolences to the family. He was a great man.
