Mitt Romney won the 2009 CPAC straw poll.
“””Romney said he marched with MLK.””” All three are demonstrably false
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2007/12/marching_with_king.html
“My father and I marched with Martin Luther King Jr. through the streets of Detroit.”
—Mitt Romney, 1978 interview with Boston Herald.
FACTCHECK:
“Mitt Romney never marched through Detroit with Martin Luther King, as the Romney campaign now acknowledges. Nor is it true that the GOP candidate “saw” his father, a former governor of Michigan, join King on a civil rights march, as he has been claiming on the presidential campaign trail.”
Romney’s father didn’t march with MLK. It was a mistake. It was false.
Post 423.
The anti-mormon cabal, many of whom are on this thread (as they are every Romney and Mormon thread), has called the Mormon religion a cult countless times over the years. But not one of them on this thread, has enough integrity to admit it.
So, CPAC, the home of the most conservative activists in the Party, choose Romney...
It appears that those who repetitively attack Romney are a little out of step with conservatives.
What are you talking about? Most Romney supporters, like me, like them both.
It is true that support for various candidates does divide us, which isn't a good thing.
He habitually posts outrageous, hyperbolic lies about Romney on nearly every Romney thread.
Still the actual claim was that Mitt Romney said that he had marched with Martin Luther King.
As it is, Romney is something of a compulsive liar, Mitt Romney did not march with MLK as he said he did, Mitt just made up the whole thing.
I said as much. But, if he is automatically considered a citizen because he was born on this soil to non-citizen aliens, that gives weight to those who say the children of illegals are automatic US citizens.

There is one republican leader that has won every republican voter poll since the election of 2008 including the one a couple of days ago, and it isn’t Romney.
“has called the Mormon religion a cult”
Maybe they are Catholic or other major denominations, if so that is the position of their church, including that exact formal description that you used.
Shouldn’t you take that kind of thing over to the religion section?
Because he's a liberal, and he knows he is, anyone with half a brain KNOWS he is.
Supported directly Planned Parenthood with funds AND appeared at functions.
Instituted socialized medicine in his state while he was Governor.
Supported gun-grabbing and basic trampling of 2A rights as Governor.
But now he's changed?
Piyush Jindal (pronounced /ˈdʒɪndəl/) was born on June 10, 1971 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Punjabi Indian immigrants Amar and Raj Jindal, who had recently arrived for Amar to attend graduate school at Louisiana State University.[1] His father, Amar, left India and his ancestral family village of Khanpura in 1970,[3]. His mother, Raj, is an information technology director for the Louisiana Department of Labor.[4] According to family lore, Jindal chose to re-name himself "Bobby" inspired by the sitcom character Bobby Brady after watching The Brady Bunch television series at the age of four. "
Good God. Learn how to read. Come in here with your thinly-veiled charge of racism. Guess what, pal? His parents were here legally but were NOT citizens. The fact that he was born on US soil should not make him eligible to be President. But, I guess you think the child of illegals should be eligible, too.
Romney was the most viable candidate in the last election, and the most capable by far. While Republicans were busy arguing about his conservative credentials and his sincerity regarding the pro-life issue the most liberal candidate on abortion won the presidency causing the biggest defeat for life in 35 years.
Almost anyone with half a brain cell understands THAT.
I love when people hurl insults at me. They're so persuasive (not!) and give my normally polite self an opportunity to hurl one back. : )
Mitt is/was not perfect. However, the man performed well considering the Dems outnumber the Reps in the State legislature by a 9-to-1 margin.
Plus, any “old time” (a.k.a. partially sane) Dems that did work with him were wiped out in the 2004 election. Yes, he screwed up on a few things, such as the mandatory health insurance, but again - what did he have to work with? Not much.
And for the usual flammers out there, please - posting the 1994 campaign literature and that the number of Reps shrunk while he was governor - he doesn’t hate gays and the 2004 Rep wipeout in MA was a foreshadowing of the BDS that would hit everywhere else in 2006 and 2008.
You don’t get it. It’s not him running as Pro life and then acting pro choice, it’s that he won’t ADVANCE pro life causes.
It’s not that he’ll be pro gun and then turn anti gun, it’s that he won’t ADVANCE 2A causes.
Why do SOME conservatives keep foisting status quo with liberals AT BEST upon us, where does that get us?
BTW, some thin skin you have there, I didn’t hurl any insults at you.
There was no racism involved I was just pointing out that his parents were not peons or wetbacks they were here for professional reasons and yes Bobby is a citizen.
So, pal have fun traveling down your dead end road, you will expend a lot of energy, tie up a lot of threads, make a lot of meaningless posts, but in the end for nothing.
