Comming Soon--"The Loyalty Oath"

Posted on 02/28/2009 3:59:18 AM PST by Happy Rain

As Mr. Obama seizes ultimate power, the president may call upon,as all tyrants eventually do,the military to subdue the unavoidable public dissent as he shreds the U.S. Constitution. Hitler, knowing honor and fidelity are ingrained in the true warrior, ordered the German soldier to swear an oath of obedience to him before his rule of terror fully began.Trained to obey they obeyed and swore to obey--and keeping to their oath they enabled the horrors that resulted. If Obama ordered such an oath from OUR Armed Forces, would they do it? History proves that good soldiers come with baggage that can be exploited by evil men. What of the American soldier, sailor, airman or marine? We are in interesting times.

Every person I know that is in the military, reserves, or Guard would laugh out loud if anyone asked them swear an oath to Obama.

There’s Hitler, and Lenin, and Castro, and Hugo,...

And then there’s Pinochet.

Yes, rumors aren’t necessarily a bad thing, but I was referring to the likelihood that he’s going to try something like this. I wouldn’t doubt at all that it’s something he’s thought of, and hence the rumors; but unless there’s actually been some statement (not even by him, but by one of his minions) to that effect, I don’t think he’s likely to attempt it - at the moment.

He knows he’s not popular with the military, and I think this is one thing that is holding him in check a bit. But what he might do is work to undermine the military in other ways (gays, affirmative action promotions, etc.) and try to build a military that is personally loyal to him.

It’s also instructive to recall that Hitler did away with many of the people who would be inclined to object...”

Actually, in a sense, PC in our current era performs a function that might tend to leave certain types in particular job descriptions as well as conditioning them to accepting dual realities. In the particular case of the Marines I'd expect that the individuals themselves are more cognizant of American values and that in the institution PC is less of a factor.

“The US military today is not on the side of Obama. “

Look for a new military recruiting drive partly sold as a jobs program.

There are enough Obamamaniacs of military age to dwarf the current ranks of enlistees.

And, in fact, the Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, and Kreigsmarine all swore an oath of alliance to Hitler and not to the German Reich.

But, no matter, seems Marshall was more loyal to FDR than to the Constitution of the United States of America, which he swore an oath to defend, ..., etc.

“I wouldn’t. And I very seriously doubt many would.”

Lots of people take oaths and break them. Doctors take oaths and then abort or euthanize people, People do business on a hand shake and then turn around and screw you, Senate and Congressman take oaths to serve and then break them. The President just took an oath to uphold the constitution and from were I sit, he is breaking it left and well, Left (there is NO right in him). I could go on but I think you get the idea.

We have at least one advantage over the Hitler era Germans that they didn’t have: we have the benefit of their experience to study, learn from and avoid. I hope that knowledge is enough for us to keep that sort of history from repeating itself here.

Hypothetically, this would be justified by a real or imagined government split. Essentially asking the military to swear an oath to the POTUS’s power structure. It would start out fairly watered down in order to weed out the military leadership most likely to oppose his wishes.

It could be done to weed out the dissenters. Thus, it would be especially likely if the military was perceived as a threat.

I wouldn't look for it any time soon. The modern socialist example is to simply rot the system from the inside out and destroy the military as a consequence of that.

Additionally, the Admirals that I've known have all been far more political creatures than warriors or statesmen. I imagine that its the same throughout the military.

I think that Society is only just beginning to recognize precisely how damaging and evil PC actually is. It is more than a pain in the arse, and it certainly isn’t helpful, constructive or even benign: it is a very powerful solvent that can dissolve many centuries of good Civilization Advancement in the name of theoretical egalitarian ideals that may/may not be practical, realistic or even correct. Its ultimate destination is anarchy.

As solvents go, PC is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, and extremely volatile. It is also highly toxic.

THAT little ruse is an 'attack the messenger' psy-ops ploy when the message is spot on. Don't ever fear calling a spade a spade. Especially with all the 'shovel ready' steaming piles out there.

Hitler was a war veteran that soldiers could at least understand and possibly respect. Obama brings nothing of that caliber to the table. No, they will NOT follow him.

“As solvents go, PC is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, and extremely volatile. It is also highly toxic.”

PC's nature of forcing acceptance of what fundamentally is dual reality is the thing that does it. To me a healthy mind will sense the lie and reject it, if not immediately than at some point short of the inevitable catastrophe that must result. Once you let go of reality you are, as they say, ‘inside the looking glass.’ When whole segments of a population do it....

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

The Oath is fine as is and has passed the test of time. We support the Constitution and will obey the orders of THE PRESIDENT and ..... What bothers Bambi about this?

Thats right on ,and I’ve said on another thread, It would be hard to cnvince our troops to go against thier families.
Most our soldiers are the sons and daughters of conservatives, as the libs don’t like the military.
In a time of revolution inside our own nation, we would call them home to help our cause, and to bring hardware with them.
