GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A massive rally in downtown Greenville on Friday to protest government spending was started by the rant of a reporter in Chicago.
Several thousand people flocked to the banks of the Reedy River to re-enact a uniquely American form of political speech. The crowds dumped tea into the river, evoking memories of the Boston Tea Party of 1773.

There was a lot of shouting to remove Lindsey Graham out of office.
Should have did a Tea Party at the pubbie convention
ON another thread it was said 1000 attended a tea rally in St. Louis, MO.
(I am jealous you live in Greenville, SC ... it’s a beautiful town)
The south is gonna rise again! If you think people are getting mad now, just wait until this administration starts trying to take guns! Im afraid to even think about it, but I believe its coming!!
THE Media has beeen Ignoring and under reporting attendance at events that do not “FIT” their message.
3/17/2007 30,000 counter demonstrators in DC from Gathering of Eagles/Rolling Thuder/etc.. were ignored by the MSM, in favor of the 10,000 anti war protesters who were “covered” and “reported” ad nauseum.
When you’re there, and you are Ignored.....you stop watching MSM TV and stop reading the MSM Publications. You realize what has been going on for years, and Today’s realization is that you understand why the MSM is Dying.
LA Times, NYT, Tribune, USA Today, Alphabet networks, are sucking wind and the Death watch is on. If you do not represent America, America stops watching/buying/reading. RIP
We’re mad as hell, and we are not watching/reading anymore.
What a turnout. And yes, the South is gonna rise again!!
Yeah, and we are armed to the TEETH down here and sure as hell ain't gonna give up without a HELL OF A FIGHT!!! Give us our guns or send us out in a BLAZE OF GLORY!!!!
On the front page of Greenvilleonline today.
Lots of photos.
FairTax supporters, lots of Gadsden flags!
Lots of great signs “Bad Credit call 1-800-obama” lol
from the photos definitely looks like at least 1500 people.
Excellent! And kudos to all of you patriots who participated in this.
I attended the rally. It was a great turnout. We out did towns much larger than us. Which is indicative of this part of the country. I am proud of Greenville. It was rainy dreary night, but the fire of liberty was keeping the people warm :-)
I used to go the Greenville for some of the best chicken wings to be found anywhere in America...beautiful downtown area to ‘walk it off’ afterward. (Until we hit Marble Slab, that is.) You did America proud, Greenville...thanks!!!
That just CRIES OUT for a bumper sticker...classic.
That’s an Issue...a propaganda issue...the Sins of “Spiking” a story by ignoring it. Negative propaganda.
What we need to do, is pick a Site outside the Newspaper offices. OR....Line the Curbs / streets / blocks of a busy intersection. Then everyone that drives by, honks, waves, and gives a shout out or a thumbs up...they start wondering why nothing is one the News later that day.
Then the populace starts wondering about the Media...and Who they really represent.
If the MSM does not represent the people, then who ?
That’s awesome,Thank you for this posting, and Thank You, to all who attended. We need to keep the pressure up.
You had a wonderful turnout. Great job.
