"Martial Law" In House of Representatives

News "Martial Law" In House of Representatives

Washington, Sep 28, 2008 - Under the martial law procedure, long-standing House rules that require at least one day between the unveiling of significant legislation and the House floor vote on that legislation — so that Members can learn what they are being asked to vote on — are swept away. Instead, under “martial law,” the Leadership can file legislation with tens or hundreds of pages of fine print and move immediately to debate and votes on it, before Members of Congress, the media, or the public have an opportunity to understand fully what provisions have been altered or inserted into the legislation behind closed doors. This is the procedure that the Leadership intends to use to muscle through important bills in the next two days.

I’m afraid that we’ve experienced something along the lines of a coup de grace in this country, but through a financial manipulation of the stock market, banking system, mortgage system and who knows what else. The purpose was to install Obama as President - and it worked. Now we are in real trouble - things will become much much worse before it gets any better (if that is even possible now).

I don’t think it is clear that it is for one day. It can be read both ways. The original post shows the first time they did it with a clear stop date.

Can you imagine a system so f'ed up that a wack-job like Pelosi can wave a piece of legislation in their faces and they push the yea button without knowing what the hell they're doing.

What a wondeful world.

“I don’t remember a terroristic event.

The whole Obama administration is a terrorist event.”

Please let me know if you ever find or hear about the video from Foxnews a couple/three years ago with the imam in Britain who walked up to the camera and said, “You’ll see. We’re going to turn the White House black. We’re going to...” He was shaking his finger at the camera and full of rage, until he was motioned off and apparently told to shut up.

The other half remembers this video, too. We both thought at the time that there was ‘something’ to this, but couldn’t put our fingers on it.

I can’t find the video anywhere, but it must be somewhere. Not that it would do any good.

On another subject, it is impossible to think that a US Constitutional lawyer could assault the Constitution repeatedly, and be cautioned by in-house counsel regarding same. Also, the ‘hope’ mantra is gone. Just plain gone, along with continuous and rapid consolidation of power

Remember, Hitler demolished his opposition within just a few months of his election. See
