Another chillsome evening (~35 degrees) at Georgia and Elder as the DC Chapter stalwarts moved into position to thank the wounded warriors for protecting us form those who would as soon decapitate us as look at us.
It was a typical Friday evening for the DC Chapter. Good friends and lively discussions between waves and shouted “THANK YOUs” to the vehicles exiting and entering the hospital grounds. The cacophony of horns from passing motorists signaling their approval of our efforts helped pass the time. That’s about it. No confrontations, No grape soda just cold, cookies and coffee.
A slight breeze helped fly our flag collection.

The wounded warriors inside the hospital are heartened by the sight of ordinary citizens cheering for them and displaying our thanks for the service and sacrifice they've made on our behalf. We hope that if you find yourself in the DC Area on a Friday evening that you’ll swing by for a visit

There was no bus because Gary Sinese and the Lt Dan Band were performing for the troops. The dinner bus went out Saturday so our wounded warriors got a twofer last weekend.
Yep, it was windy and cold.

I’m very concerned about the status of forces agreement that will be negotiated with Iraq. The last thing we want is for our men and women to be facing charges as a result of defending themselves. All you have do do is remember what the left tried to do to our Marines when they didn’t control the entire government. Also the Blackwater fiasco.
