(No, pundits strongly believe that the proper solution is more dilution.)

Fence building, log splitting photo ops no longer necessary.

Laura wanted a house in Dallas. They have the ranch to go to.

He's building a library at SMU. The commute would be a killer.

Pretty sure he is a long way from “retirement”. The ranch probably makes a pretty good vacation home, perhaps not the greatest for retirement though. And for being involved in things, I think the “burbs” would be more convenient.

He doesn’t have to copy Reagan’s “rugged cowboy look” any longer.
The facade is over.
We got Lyndon B Johnson Part II.

(Democrats still want to get Pres. Bush and/or VP Cheney; there might be show trials in 2009.)

He probably didn’t retire in Crawford because that’s more of a vacation home to them. Is that okay with you or would you rather them not have a vacation home?

It was all for show. He’s from Maine...not Texas.

Why didnt W retire to Crawford?Because he hasn't retired. I'm sure he thinks he way too young for that. He's going to be doing fundraising to get his Presidential Library built, and get his new Institute up and running. I think he envisions it to be a sort of think tank.
I'm sure they'll head to Crawford from time to time, just to enjoy the place.

Aren't some of these besieged W groupies pathetic? They react like Pavlovs dog to every perceived criticism, whether intended or not.
Laughable.
