WASHINGTON -- The people of District of Columbia would get the vote in Congress the Founding Fathers denied them under legislation the Senate has approved. The Senate legislation would give the district a vote in the House of Representatives.

Congress cannot “give” DC the right to vote. A Constitutional Ammendment would be required. Any legislation “passed” by a Congress in which an Unconstitutional party participates in the vote would be Constitutionally null and void.

This will get an immediate appeal to SCOTUS - or an injunction preventing DC representation whilst the case winds its way to SCOTUS ...

There will be NO WAY anyone represents DC in Congress BEFORE SCOTUS rulz ...

The ONLY way I see around it (without amendment) would be if MD took “ownership” of DC’s representation ...

MD MIGHT gain 1 congressional seat out of the deal and DC residents would vote for MD Senators ...

BUT, MD doesn’t want the headache - I’m sure ... DC is a mess !!!
