What's your suggestion, XR7? Do nothing at all?

Nope. Get yerself a nice easy chair, and some popcorn.

Ah yes, that's just what we need. More armchair 'conservatives' who sit on their butts all day in front of their keyboards & gripe at everybody else who's actually putting in the gruntwork of trying to change people's minds out there.

Like we don't already have enough of those around here?

Everything you said about Friday could be said about any day of the week by any other knee-jerk pessimist, xr7.

Here's an idea: it's still a free country so you can organize your own rally at a time when you think it would score better press & blow the bejeebers out of tomorow's attendance. You won't find anybody complaining about that.

Leilani, You’re absolutely right. Too many arm-chair conservatives, good people but afraid to get down to the nitty-gritty of protest rallys. It’s not easy to take time off work, to take a train or drive a long way to get to these events, but that’s what it takes sometimes when you’re trying to stand up for your country & your values.

I’m going to the Chicago Tea Party tomorrow afternoon & I hope there will be a lot of us there.

I hope you all have successful rallies wherever you may be.

Good idea to have it around noon at the Daley Plaza in Chicago. Alot of people who have to work should take an early lunch hour and show up! I don’t think the police would hassle anyone about the tea thing. Most of them voted for McCain and are no fans of the Obama administration—or the Daley one.

I am actually tempted to write IOU on my 1040. Problem is, who is going to bring me a shiv when they put me away? This would work ONLY if 1 million people do it...and I don’t think we’ve got 2 million cojones that agitated yet. I do think that if everyone files an EXTENSION for 3 months, the sound of the FDIC and Treasury hydroplaning (hair on neck will stand on end) may get their attention. That way a point is made without anything illegal happening. Who is for making the USGOVT put 3 months on their AMEX?
DAVE RAMSEY FOR FED CHIEF!

The extension is only for filing, you still need to pay on April 15.

Of course you could write a letter of apology to the IRS for not paying and blame it on Turbo Tax. It worked for their boss.

I’m looking forward to joining some other good Americans there- it’s a really good opportunity to have our voices heard— we aren’t able to do it anymore in the Chicago ballot boxes.

Hope you’re able to attend one of these Tea Parties in your area. Take care

Yes, Fu-fu2, there will be a lot of people right downtown there during the rally in Chicago, so I hope they will not go mindlessly to work as usual, but take some time out to join us in this rally, which allows us all to advocate for our jobs & the value of our hard work.

Californians should take pitchforks, tar and feathers; march into the capitol building and demand their money back. They should wheelbarrow in their "IOU's" and dump them on the capitol steps and angrily call for the congress critters to pony up their money from their personal bank accounts or be run out of town.
....well at least in times past that's what folks would have done.... Alas we've become a nation of pantie wastes...

These "Tea Parties" are conservatives' first attempt at organizing independent of a political rally or an election.

ROFLMAO!!!
And, that's why Obamasama is Prez, and the masses love his hype.

Go ahead. Roll around on the floor and laugh your patootie off...or sit in your easy chair and eat popcorn.

.....and you will still have done nothing.

‘...I’m sure the authorities in Pittsburgh have a law against tossing anything in the river,...’

my thought exactly and we can be sure some LIBERAL ...perhaps even a media person.....will alert the police and insist that charges be brought....even if littering.

Note to self, buy extra tea.

There was about 1000 people at the St. Louis event. It was great.
