Thanks for the ping....Wish there was something more significant that would really get folks attention.
please, someone tell me where exactly the Boston one is? I have a free two way train ticket to Boston that expires next week and this would be the PERFECT opportunity to use it and keep the MBTA from keeping more of my $$$
I’ll see you there IndianPrincessOK. Thanks for the sign suggestions!

I’ve been looking, but haven’t seen any location posted for Boston yet. Any reference I’ve found says, “To be Determined”.
Darn. Me too. Thanks for responding though.
Another sign suggestion:
You can’t fix stupid, so vote them out of office!
To all the do nothing naysayers, this is a start. The socialists didn’t take over this country in a day. They did it incrementally over decades.
Our socialist govt has built a well guarded wall between we the people. We must begin chipping away at it piece by piece.
For now, if it’s only a symbolic gesture, so be it. It’s better than doing nothing at all.
Hear Hear.....come on, we’re republicans...the ones who work for a living....protests need to be on the weekend
What kind of crowd are they expecting in Austin? How long has word been out?
Thank you for that post - I've seen a lot of people trying to put a damper on this effort on other threads too. They seem to be a little unclear on the concept of grass roots activism; if it's not a full-blown fait-accompli handed over to them on a star-spangled silver platter when they snap their fingers, they're not interested.
At least one potential benefit to having it on the lunch hour on a weekday might be that the coverage may have more impact. Seems to me that if it's held on a weekend, if it gets covered by news outlets at all, it will be when everybody is out running around with kids & hobbies & errands or they're watching sports & not paying attention to news.
Having it on a Friday means word-of-mouth news of other people's participation gets back to the watercoolers that afternoon & people at least start talking about the full-frontal assault this President & his congress are attempting to perpetrate on the next generation's social & economic futures.
The whole idea is to get this thing to snowball incrementally anyway, as you implied; we've got a heck of a lot of hearts & minds to change out there before we can call this a revolution.
If it's a pretty day, folks might just blow it off & head for Barton Springs or something.
The College Republicans don't even have a notation of it on their website's front page - not a good sign. :-(
And having "tea parties."
Well said, leilani and takenoprisoner. The left has been developing their protest activities since the 60’s. We’re just beginning. It’s a grass root’s start. Anyone attending these parties might want to remember to maximize any networking opportunities for future actions.
Not really.
Everyone goes home early - TGIF.
It is buried in the weekend news graveyard by the MSM.
It won't even get a mention on Monday morning.
Nope.
Get yerself a nice easy chair, and some popcorn.
Like snowballs thrown in Boston a few hundred or so years ago.
