WASHINGTON - From a Lexington office complex, Mitt Romney's political action committee has ensured the former presidential candidate's omnipresence on cable news shows, ....

But for the next year and a half, the center of Romney's political universe will shift west to Sacramento, where key parts of his operation have reassembled on behalf of Meg Whitman, a longtime friend and former business colleague ....

The former eBay CEO is still readying her headquarters, but it has already become something of a campaign-in-exile for Romney's ambitions, which could include another presidential run in 2012....

"Mitt's going to be involved in dozens and dozens of races, but one that he's particularly excited about is the race for governor of California," said Eric Fehrnstrom, a Romney spokesman....

A Whitman victory could deliver Romney a valuable foothold in a state that will likely be a big, early prize on the Republican nominating calendar. Her 2010 campaign will also offer a...

Romney and Whitman both harshly criticized the $787 billion stimulus package championed by President Obama and congressional Democrats, saying it includes too much bloated spending and not enough tax cuts. Whitman is also railing against the plan, signed into law yesterday, of tax increases and spending cuts to plug California's $42 billion budget deficit, saying in a statement it "will kill jobs, hurt families, and make future deficits worse."

The parallel careers of Romney and Whitman - ...

Yet Romney is the only one of the three considered a possible 2012 presidential candidate, ...

1. Do you endorse Meg Whitman as Governor of California?

I don't endorse any candidate for the Gov. of CA. I don't live in CA, and couldn't care less who they elect.

2. Do you agree with Mitt Romney's endorsement of her?

This is just question 1 with Mitt Romney added in. Same answer applies.

3. Do you believe, since there isn't a shadow of doubt that the woman is a hardcore liberal, that Romney's endorsement of her goes to his veracity during the last election, especially in light of his decades-long support for the exact positions she espouses?

There you go again. You just can't ask very many questions without burying accusations inside, passing them off as established fact.

‘>>>>>”More Republicans voted for Romney than McCain from what I can tell.”

Time to put up or shut up. ‘

Review it for yourself. If I post it, you’ll just claim I find you worth a lie, which of course would make you wrong for the umpteenth time on this thread.

You should stop, but you won’t. Run along.

passing them off as established fact

I posted her positions on this thread in her own words.

They are established facts, no matter how assiduously you ignore them and/or call them something else.

Romney realizes, as I have for a decade, you won’t get a ‘conservative’ elected to the Governors Mansion in California.

So, you admit that you support liberals.

‘If I had it to do over again, understanding that McClintock could not win, I would do what I could to therefore see Bustamonte beat Arnold. In retrospect, I would rather have taken my chances with Bustamonte. I LEARNED A LESSON.

You have learned nothing at all.’

Actually, I just learned that you would rather have an honest to God liberal as Governor than a RINO like Arnold.

The difference here is I don’t care....(chuckle)

For a couple of reasons. First, I’m not dumb enough to be a Conservative living in California. Been there, its nice, but I would NEVER live in that state, for a wide variety of reasons.

So, based on your view here, you are happy we have Obama, instead of McCain as President? Same thing, when you boil it down to the bone as I see it.

We didn’t have a ‘viable Conservative’ in the 2008 GOP primaries. That was obvious to anyone that followed the cycle closely from Day One.

Thats the only reason I supported Romney last year. Given we didn’t have a Conservative that had a snowballs chance in hell of winning, I choose to support the next best thing, a CEO for a job thats 90% ‘Chief Executive Office’ of America, Inc.

That guy was Romney, by miles and miles.

“It’d be something if Romney could bring California back to red.”

Only red if you are refering to socialism/communism!

They can both go straight to hell!

>Ah...you want me to lie about what I think?<

No. I want you to tell us the truth:

1. Do you endorse Meg Whitman as Governor of California?

2. Do you agree with Mitt Romney’s endorsement of her?

3. Do you believe, since there isn’t a shadow of doubt that the woman is a hardcore liberal, that Romney’s endorsement of her goes to his veracity during the last election, especially in light of his decades-long support for the exact positions she espouses?

I’ll await your succinct, honest responses.

So, you admit that you support liberals.

Now your being childish. I didn’t say that, you know I didn’t say that, you can’t produce anything I’ve written showing I said that.

I accept the reality of the political dynamics in California. You know, the state with two UBER LIBERAL SENATORS that are politically untouchable, with the most liberal House Representatives collectively in the nation, possibly excluding New York, but not by much.

I’m not ‘happy’ about this, any more than a Doctor noting a patient has cancer. But like the doctor, I note the reality, not the wishful thinking here.

Another marker to point out that not a single Romney supporter has endorsed Whitman or addressed the the question of whether this endorsement goes to the veracity of Romney in the last election.

How can there be conservative governance ever again if people fold their hands and claim what you claim: that a conservative just can’t get elected?

At best, you’ve surrendered to the Left.

No. I want you to tell us the truth:

‘1. Do you endorse Meg Whitman as Governor of California?’

Nope. I live in Ohio, and I don’t know much about her.

“2. Do you agree with Mitt Romney’s endorsement of her?”

I’m glad Romney is out there fighting for Republicans, rather than pouting about not being the nominee in 2008. Speaks volumes about his committment to the party.

‘3. Do you believe, since there isn’t a shadow of doubt that the woman is a hardcore liberal, that Romney’s endorsement of her goes to his veracity during the last election, especially in light of his decades-long support for the exact positions she espouses?’

No. I believe Romney is a political ‘realist’ and knows as I do that a Conservative as you or I would define it hasn’t a snowballs chance in hell of winning California. Boxer and Feinstien are Uber Liberal Senators, and completely untouchable politically because of this. Nancy Pelosi is in her ‘spare time’ the longest tenured House Rep from California, and THE Uber Liberal Queen Bee.

You think those three are what? An Accident?

Wow.

I’ll await your succinct, honest responses.

Dirt bags are nasty people who have no love for their fellowman let alone their weakness or why they are still ignorant in some areas that you feel you have full awareness of

Those who are believers should all be ambassadors of the Lord who are believers.

Those who are praciting ambassadors of the Lord, has patience with all kinds of people which many time can be mistaken or sometimes appear to others as liberals when it is mercy.

Romney has personally NEVER been for abortion and after the run for the Senate he was called to be a bishop another time stake president and in those positions he strongly counsel women in his flock who were in those situation to NOT abort but choose adoption, he pleaded as many times as possible to the point where some were angry with him.

If you choose to continue to use disinformation because for reason only each of us know, I know in my heart those who choose to continue are not forthright!

Should those like Meg Whitman who have God given talent be tossed aside because they are not in lock step with ones personal perfect list.

She is a strong defender of “One man, One women Marriage” she is against gay marriage, which is still an issue in CA, she also has the ability to help CA financial crises.

Meg Whitman has many good abilities will her view on abortion as governor, effect the supreme court decision?

Sinners pointing figures at sinners, we have all sinned and fallen short in some area of our life, we all could do better.

Some times having patience is the correct way one should address a situation we have with our fellowman, instead of disowning them or shunning, put thme in your prayers that their hearts will soften.

LOL What an incoherent reply. Par for the course.

First you posted a silly remark that I called you on. Why? I was seriously interested to see what evidence you had. Instead of posting your evidence, you blew things out of proportion with empty headed rhetoric. You have no evidence whatsoever and for good reason. None exists. Know how I know this? I did some of my own research and found no solid proof that Democrats gave McCain the majority of his primary votes. None whatsoever. I'm still open to any factual based evidence you can find. Btw, the Huckabee factor is even less relevent.

If we are to discuss this, you must stop leaving out half of my responses, so as to set up these ‘strawmen’.

I NEVER SAID ‘Conservatives just can’t get elected’.

I said ‘A Conservative can’t get elected to the Governors Mansion in CALIFORNIA.”

And you know I’m right. So does anyone else reading this thread, which is why you and RR are going this ‘alone’ with me, btw.

So you support a liberal, right? That's the logical conclusion of your repeated assertion.
