The Rev. Al Sharpton was still not satisfied Tuesday after New York Post owner Rupert Murdoch issued an unprecedented personal apology over a controversial cartoon that was branded racist.
Standing on the steps of City Hall, flanked by several City Council members and civil rights leaders, Sharpton continued his calls for a boycott over the illustration, which critics say compared President Obama to a chimpanzee.
He also demanded that the billionaire businessman explain how he will ensure that a similar gaffe will not occur in the future.

Sharpton called on Murdoch to come up with a plan for increasing diversity in his newsrooms. He said he's meeting with Federal Communications Commission members Wednesday to discuss the waiver that lets the Australian tycoon own several media outlets in the city.

I am enraged over the Post inferring that Obama may be a chimpanzee, even if they didn't, and a big payoff by Rupert Murdoch is the only way I can get over my indignation.
Sharpie is lookin for mo munnie
Is anyone satisfied with Rev. Al Sharpton's apology for his racist remarks that resulted in the death of several people? I do not recall that he ever apologized.
God I hate this guy. Just for the record America, Sharpton does NOT speak for black people, especially not me.
Al, you and Jackson just need to go away... like forever.
Hmmmm, and all the Christian related Bush bashing cartoons and comments were fine? Shut the F&*% up you MORON!
“Sharpie is lookin for mo munnie”
He need to keep protestin’ so he get mo’ donated munnie.
When will someone tell him to STFU?????
I’m glad Murdoch’s apology wasn’t accepted, because it shouldn’t have been given in the first place!
Why is Sharpton offended, when 0bama, the supposed target, doesn’t seem to care? And who in a billion years would have equated 0bama with the chimp in the first place - doesn’t the entire world know about the chimp attack in CT, at how the cartoon was just exhibiting a runaway, out-of-control situation, equating the chimp with the Porkulus plan?
The media, including our beloved Fox News, has GOT to stop giving this moron so much airtime. Sharpton is NOT a victim here; he just plans on benefitting from any “reparations” or fines, as we all well know. STOP PUTTING HIM ON TV!!!!!
They are trying to destroy the successful pro-conservative newspaper.
The only thing he wants from Murdoch is MONEY !!!!
Sharpton is a NEGRO racist. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. He cannot read/reason either. Pelosi along with Schumer and that other guy from NY, are the ones that wrote the porkulus bill, that no one read before voting on.
I’m sick of guys like Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, et al. making a career out of being an “offended black man”.
Murdock: you must be gettin old, dude....
You don’t try to work with these people. You ignore them and/or tell them to stfu.
You jes bin played, homey.
Better yet, go hug a Black Panther.
And the RPIC (Race pimp in charge) continues his main task, that of seeing that there is NEVER racial harmony or understanding in this country. The world KNOWS that the Porkulus Bill was the handiwork of Nancy Pelosi, yet just by making a spurious claim otherwise, the Rev. Al has personally decided that the cartoon was aimed at the President.
May I ask, was the movie “Twelve Monkeys” aimed at the cabinet? What about the movie “Monkey Business”? Was the destructive rampage of the APE in “King Kong” a prediction of the coming of Obama.
The pathetic action of Mr. Murdoch is more predictive of our future than the disgusting antics of Mr. Sharpton.
All that notwithstanding, I will spend the afternoon, reading the news until I find an item that deeply OFFENDS me. The lawsuit (or extortion) will become my personal stimulus bill. I can’t wait.
Surprise, surprise.
hey al, why don’t you call for a boycott-that strategy has worked well in SC.
I think the black community would best be served by these phony race-card shakedown artists doing something else with their time. It’s people like them that perpetuate the worst stereotypes about african-americans.
