I call for Jindal/Palin 2012 —
I am a 27-yr-old married woman who has tons of friends and family in the same age bracket. We’d be campaigning like crazy for this duo. On another note, I personally spoke with a group of 80-yr-old-plus ladies recently who LOVE Sarah Palin. It’s not a lost cause...I just need to know what to do to make help make this happen, and I’ll do it.
I thought Bobby dud great, he spoke to the average person. The Fox Talking heads hated it, but I liked it. It is exactly what I want to hear and SEE out of the GOP.
He was talking about Obama’s speech style. And Krauthammer is right. Obama is in a league of his own as was Reagan.
I agree, Jindal and Palin are the future. You will see freepers here attack them. IMO most are trolls. You will also see Paulnuts attack them. FR should flush all these disruptors in my opinion because by doing so they would eliminate a lot of DU plants.
I still get inspired when I see Reagan’s speeches w/o an audience. In fact, I find inspiration in just reading principled conservative views. Jindal reminds me of Daschle’s sitting on a phone book rebuttal. It was a bad choice. Haley Barbour, Sarah, Duncan Hunter Jr., or the janitor would have been better. And I LIKE Jindal. If I didn’t, my review would be harsher.
Agreed.
I liked it too, very much
Exactly! People who listen to the speech will remember his optimism at the end and the way he finished. I was shocked when I turned to CNN and his voice sounded so strong compared to Fox.
I have to admit I thought it was funny how he brought up he was born here. Getting that out of the way.
Don’t start with the dis of Gov. Palin.
I like Gov. Jindal and he did the best he could tonight.
Gov. Palin knows what to say in a speech and can deliver.
At the convention, the teleprompter went out at the beginning and she went on anyways.
Bobby Jindal Rocks!!!
Sorry but Jindal was horrible. Palin should have deli vered this. Looks like Palin and Romney are the only potential to compete oratorically with the One.
Favorable or unfavorable of Jindal's speech?
The entire Fox News panel completely trashed Jindal, although Charles Krauthammer didn't trash his speech too much. Geesh...
That is the first time I have felt physically ill from a political speech. Obama got me close to it a few times during the campaign, but I generally turned it off. But I listened on the way home from a class... oh, man. Obama was right back on the campaign trail - and I think he lied more times in that 54 minutes than in a month on the campaign trail.
And that doesn’t even touch on the complete lack of any real substance.
And what was the point near the end, where Obama told the story of the executive that took his bonus and gave it to the “other 399 employees plus 78 former employees”? That fellow did it voluntarily. Obama wants to FORCE the higher income brackets to do this under force of law.
And I am so sick of hearing that the Bush tax cuts only helped those making over $250K per year. I have never made more than $50K (school teacher and now a Pastor), yet my tax burden was lower after the tax cuts. How did that happen?
And then the local radio station that was suppose to carry the Jindal response kept cutting back and forth from regular programing (tape-delayed Hannity) and live audio from the House... by the time I got the computer booted and online where I could hear it streaming, Jindal was almost done... arrggghhhh...
Anyone have a source to listen to it online?
I had to switch from FOX to NBC. Much better audio.
That is how Reagan won, by being an optimist. He didn’t have a holier than thou attitude nor he was a fire and brimstone candidate.
Too bad the “stupid party” let the libs and the media (but I repeat myself) run Sarah Palin off the national stage. SHE would have been the obvious choice for tonights response.
I agree Kevin.
Dear Leader can speak like a Ted Stevens from the Mary Tyler Moore Show. He can read text written by others.
Jindal is substance.
Why do you say he was horrible?
In a word: Bobby Bombed.
