Obama Claim: Done More in 30 Days Than Other Presidents Economy Will Dominate Obama Speech Tonight By JAKE TAPPER and MARK MOONEY
Feb. 24, 2009
The Obama administration is going into tonight's pivotal speech to Congress with the belief that President Obama has accomplished more in the first 30 days in office than any modern president.
The president will give the nation a "sober assessment" about the status of the country's economy tonight as he assures Americans that there are "better days ahead," according to White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.
Obama will address a joint meeting of Congress tonight in a speech that will be shown live on national television, giving the president a chance to sketch out his agenda for the country after having authorized a massive $787 billion stimulus package as well as a $75 billionhomeowner bailout.
It will also allow the administration to brag a bit.
"President Obama has accomplished more in 30 days than any president in modern history," a senior White House official said today in a background briefing.

Did I hear Harry Reid say we should all be shovelling dirt to rebuild our economy?
I can’t decided whether to send him a tea bag or a bag of dirt.
These people speak as tho we are the idiots. Little do them know they are so totally out of touch with reality.
Ok, so now can he please take a LONG vacation - like for 4 more years???
That is the perfect objective measure of what Obama has done to our economy. It understates the damage, because it only includes economic damages, but it's sufficient to prove the point: Obama has already done exceptionally grave damage to the economy and to the entire United States of America.
Every president we’ve had in the past would have known not to do what 0 has done in the past 30 days. Bad decisions don’t take long to make, but they can take forever to correct.
President Clinton
Address to the Nation on the Economic Program

“And I’ve worked harder than I’ve ever worked in my life to meet that goal.”
That was exactly my thought before I clicked the link to read the thread.
That’s more like it.
And those insane lefties 4 years ago were just screaming about Civil Rights losses are now going on about taking civil rights away from better than half the population. That’s a scary thought.
He must accomplish his goals of destruction before he is impeached for being ineligible to run or serve as President...
That's my opinion about one of his primary motivations as "president."
If, by more, he means spent us into oblivion, brought about the beginning of the end for our nation, sold our children and grandchildren into indentured servitude, and showed the world that our leadership have no collective spine, then yes, he has certainly done more.
I’m sure he’s on his effin’ KNEES praying the stock market doesn’t go below 7000 before close. I don’t care how much the MSM tries to put this phoney over, America, more and more, is seeing him as an socialist, marxist ideologue who is giving away their money to others who don’t deserve it. They didn’t support the bailout, and they aren’t supporting the stimulus bill. This whole Mortgage bailout is actually making my “progressive” fans upset now.
His only base will be inner city welfare queens before this is over.
Yeah. Made great progress toward destroying the free market economy and making the country a communist dictatorship.
this man makes me roflmao and crying at the sametime....he is so full of himself...he hasn’t done squat except for help this economy go further done the crap hole.......
He ain’t wrong.
Today’s new Gallup poll puts him at 59%. Compare him to previous presidents one month in, such as G W Bush (62%), Jimmy Carter (71%), Bill Clinton (59%), George H. W. Bush (63%), and Richard Nixon (60%), and you’ll discover that all we’re seeing is the public withhold judgment.
Now compare his disapproval ratings (people who’ve already made up their minds they don’t like him), 25% to George W Bush (21%), George Bush (13%), Ronald Reagan (18%), Jimmy Carter (9%), and Richard Nixon (6%). The only one with a higher disapproval rating was President Clinton, on his way to losing both houses of Congress.
Obama has a particularly unattractive case of Mine’s Bigger Syndrome, constantly comparing his whanger to all the other boyz.
His advisers have given him the distinct impression that it’s an important presidential quality, and he believed them.
The other boyz are laughing him to scorn behind his back.
But if they’re not, I am.
He has done nothing of any value whatsoever. And he never will.
The public didn’t realize quite how incompetent Carter was til about six weeks AFTER the hostage crisis began.
A guy who spends his days napping at least wouldn’t be nationalizing all industries...
The kiddies are certainly in charge. It’s not how much you have “done”, it’s about results.
Probably in the community organizing world, doing a lot is enough to get paid and a pat on the back. In the real world, doing a lot and demonstrating poor results gets you fired.
Come back and brag when you have some decent results.
Nothing can make those ears look small or even normal. I get the impression he receives sonar.
