On August 17, 2007, Bill Moyers closed Bill Moyers Journal, his weekly show on the taxpayer-subsidized Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), by bidding farewell to Karl Rove, a top aide to President Bush who was leaving his job as deputy chief of staff at the end of the month:
Using church pews as precincts Rove turned religion into a weapon of political combat a battering ram, aimed at the devils minions, especially at gay people.
Interesting how Moyers, a former Democratic White House press secretary under Lyndon Johnson, singles out an aide to a Republican president for using gay people as political fodder. When he occupied a similar position in the White House of LBJ a president far more eager than Roves employer to destroy his political opponents Moyers did not hesitate to use sexuality as what he might call a weapon of political combat.
And not just political combat. Moyers even tried to find out about the sexuality of a number of aides to his Democratic boss.

And why can't we have equal time on this damned PBS monolith? It's worse than PRAVDA or Gramma the Chicoms media monopoly ever was...
Let's repeat that: LBJ's spy on Martin Luther King!.
Hey, if we get the “Fairness Doctrine” put in place, I’m going to demand that I get my own show on PBS to balance out Moyers...
Although I’d need about 20 years worth of shows to make any kind of dent.
Bill Moyers.
Isn’t he the guy that was convicted of drunk driving a while back.
Class guy.
Bill Moyers is a giant hypocrite! He got rich in public broadcasting furthering his political agenda insulated from criticism.
Apparently he is in fully in favor of helping the poor obtain healthcare, but does not have group insurance for his own production team because it’s “expensive”.
The Liberal, looney Left is so hypocritical, it hurts.
Moyers is a nasty old communist. I remember him snickering at the ads he had made insinuating Barry Goldwater wanted to nuke little girls and pregnant women.
He’s as vicious as they come.
