It is time for many South Floridians to get a grip. Not on their weapons, but on their senses.
First, there was the big run on guns, both locally and nationally, when it was feared the Obama administration would quickly enact tougher gun legislation that would make it difficult to own guns.
Didn't happen. And doesn't figure to happen, particularly since the Supreme Court has reinforced the right of an individual to bear arms.
But that hasn't deterred some South Floridians, who are storming gun shops for ammunition - particularly rounds for military-style assault weapons.

What a foolish thing to say.
I have 2 carries. My 9mm carry can hold 14; my .45 carry can hold 7. I never put the max in the magazine so it is more like 12 vs. 5.
If you get into a bad situation, 5 or 6 shots may not cut it, especially since the best of them can miss a few shots in a life and death situation.
Has this paper ever written about the hysteria about man-made global warming and the fad of buying carbon offset credits?
Why, we are a month in already and despite all of the other leftist changes he’s run through, this hasn’t made the list yet...
Arms qualify as loading up P-51 Mustangs and P-38 Lightnings to bear.
I don’t think the government would be willing to sell F-14 Tomcats...
Yes, make it sound all the more evil and menacing...
Leftist hoplophobes..
Somehow, I don’t think they understand the difference between weeks and years...
It’s been 4 WEEKS.

About 6 yrs ago I happened on a gun dealer that was going out of business, and bought his whole stock of Wolf 7.62x39 at cost (then it was around $35/1000rd case). He even delivered it. It was cheaper than sending it all back to his supplier, so he came out on top and so did I. Except I had to rent a mini-warehouse to keep it in.
I had a brother-in-law make this flat statement, and I looked at him and asked him what "semi-automatic" meant.
He knew there was no way to bluff me, so he said "I don't know."
Banning ammunition is a de facto gun ban, and in a sane world, any court in the land would rule that it was in violation of the recent USSC decision.
This 6’2” 250lb former LEO packs a .45 every day.
Of course they are a bunch of Obama kneepadders!
definitely FUBO.
I’d put it on my car if I didn’t think my wife would figure out what it meant... :)
One.
Its not just concern about what action the administration might take to ban or control guns or to enact prohibitive taxes and fees.
There is real concern (read fear) that Obama and his administration have and are creating conditions that will lead to heavy increases in crime, minority riots and even roving hordes of malcontents invading neighborhoods and homes.
Obama has raised expectations to unrealistic heights - his supporters expect him to find homes for them, pay their mortgages, fill their gas tanks, increase handouts across the boards.
There isn’t enough wealth in the contry to meet the expectations Obama has created, and when they don’t get the handouts they expect they aren’t going to be pleased.
But when they show up at the homes of the Bitter Bible and Gun Clingers they will find them well supplied to protect themselves and their families.
I told my wife about FUBO ... she was ROFL after she “got” it.
