GROWING numbers of Muslim men are “marrying” up to four wives in Britain, a leading Muslim peer warned last night.
Tory Baroness Sayeeda Warsi fears a sharp increase in polygamy in the UK is becoming a threat to community cohesion.
And she accused Labour ministers of turning a blind eye to the practice, which is common in some Islamic countries.
The Government must make it clear to Muslims that “in this country, one married man is allowed to marry one woman,” she said.
Most Muslim polygamous arrangements are not illegal because the “weddings” are private religious ceremonies that are not recognised by British law.
But Baroness Warsi, Tory spokesman on community cohesion, feared that multi-wife marriages could increase tensions between Muslims and non-Muslims in Britain.

I’m sure her husband will de-capitate her for besmirching his “honor” over this.
If the UK stopped giving welfare to the “unmarried” moslem women with kids it would help to resolve the issue. There are tons of them getting money from the govt when the father of the kids should be supporting them. Stop the money and it would suddenly get a lot more uncomfortable for the men with multiple wives.
These people are just laying down and taking a shellacking from the liberals.
The Brits have always been scrappers, now there just suckin down pints and watching their country disintegrate with lil or no fight.

They even give them money for their kids still back in their original countries. Obama will bring us down the same road. Our govts are doing nothing to protect us here at home from Islam itself.

One problem is that in the West, society condones all sorts of odd relationships, and there is no standard against which to measure the Muslim practices. Hooking up, one-night stands, serial dating, serial marriages and goodness knows what living arrangements, are commonplace. In the US, a large percentage of “liberals” are all about “don’t tell me what I can or can’t do sexually.” So they have no leg to stand on, to tell anyone else what they can or can’t do. In other words, if Westerners have no moral standards, relationship-wise, how can they tell others what to do with a straight face? And they don’t want to, because it might mean they would have to censor or criticize their own practices.
Britain has known about this and has allowed it to continue. Instead of fixing this, a better solution would be to expel all those whose ideology tells them to take more than one wife.
Hey Brtain, it’s your country. If they are in your country; they should abide by your laws.

I think there’s very little difference from where Britain is now and where we’ll be 10 to 15 years from now. If Brit schools are like ours, young people are taught that their home country is evil and only multiculturalism can save it. Christian influences are wiped clean from the public arena. I’m convinced, unless we turn things around very quickly, we in the USSA are going to face the same fate as Britain. We can stop it, but we have to WANT to, and the current leadership in this country can’t be trusted. As for Britain and continental Western Europe, I fear it may be too late. I’m glad I took my Euro travel opportunities when I was stationed in Germany in ‘89-’92.

I agree. Those parasites breed litters like rabbits once they attach themselves to the host. Deportation is the only answer.
I think this should be allowed to happen, because it will be its own punishment. That is:
1) What is the ratio of Muslim men to Muslim women in Britain, is it about even? If one man marries four women, this means that three other men will have to do without wives. They will not appreciate this.
2) Since polygamy is not legal, a man with four wives can only get welfare for himself and one wife. The other two wives will remain officially single, and this may bite them because they can get less welfare than if they were married, and no divorce benefits.
