Alan Keys Interview: Stop Obama or US will cease to exist.

Hastings, Nebraska
19 February 2009

Alan Keyes, a 2008 presidential candidate who is also a plaintiff in one of the many lawsuits challenging Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, charged at a pro-life rally that unless Obama's social and economic policies are stopped, the United States as we know it is over.

Keyes' comments were part of an interview with a reporter from KHAS-TV at a fundraiser for the AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center in Hastings, Neb.

"Obama is a radical communist, and I think it is becoming clear. That is what I told people in Illinois and now everybody realizes it's true," said Keyes, who ran unsuccessfully against Obama for the state's open Senate seat in 2004. "He is going to destroy this country, and we are either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist."

Keyes also reasserted his belief that unless the question of Obama's eligibility to serve as president is answered definitively, America may face the startling crisis of an executive branch run by a "usurper."

"Is he president of the United States?" Keyes asked the reporter of Obama. "According to the Constitution, in order to be eligible for president you have to be a natural born citizen. He has refused to provide proof.”

"I'm not sure he's even president of the United States," Keyes continued, "neither are many of our military people now who are now going to court to ask the question, 'Do we have to obey a man who is not qualified under the constitution?' We are in the midst of the greatest crisis this nation has ever seen, and if we don't stop laughing about it and deal with it, we're going to find ourselves in the midst of chaos, confusion and civil war."

Keyes, who stated he refuses even to refer to Obama as president, labeled the man in the Oval Office as "somebody who is kind of an alleged usurper, who is alleged to be someone who is occupying that office without constitutional warrant to do so."

Keyes' comments included harsh criticism of Obama's policies on immigration, abortion, and the mortgage crisis.

He concluded the interview by railing against the president's push for hundreds of billions of dollars in government economic stimulus spending.

"We are claiming that a bankrupt government can save a bankrupt banking system", Keyes said.

I’m new to this forum, and please forgive me if this comment has already been made in some form. I get concerned when I see any comment that sounds in any way to be leaning toward violence in nature. Your comment: ‘When all else fails, vote from the rooftops’ can definitely be taken as an incitement to violence.

I haven’t had the time or the desire to read through all these comments, but don’t you think that cooler heads should prevail?

” They can’t kill or shut up everyone ..”

Funny you should mention that.
I watched a couple of minutes of Olbermann on Fri Night because O and Jonathan Alter were in hysterics about Alan Keyes and presumably the eligibility lawsuit.
Alter:
The nationality question was answered on election day by the voters.
Obama produced his birth certificate from the hospital where he was born
and posted it on his website.
Keyes is coming pretty close to inciting a riot by continuing to bring up the birth certificate question
and is coming close to a visit by the Secret Service.
Apparently, Barry thinks Secret Service = his SS.

Anyone who pays attention to ST is stepping in steaming piles. It/they is a disruptor, plain and simple. I am not pinging it/them because it/them is not a conservative and is here to disrupt.

My view is that Obama is a marxist ideolog...and I will stand by that statement. He is certainly, and very blatantly OMHO, pushing marxist ideology forward...as he promised to do.

Anyone who listens to his 2001 interview with NPR will recognize this...if that were not enough.

"...then the problem is not the political system and how it has gone against the conservatives — but rather — with the mass of people who don’t go along with the conservatives."

And just exactly how would having a media that is mostly censored by one party play out in your fair scenario of the civil system? I've traveled around in the last few years. It appears that all the countries in the entire west are experiencing massive lies and distortion of information.

This is your sole comment on FR? This is the most important thing you could think of to say in these dark and dire times?

I hope that they get a belly full of the bastard. And I also hope that he does everything he said he was going to do ten times over to them.

As much as I despise obama, I despise more the fools, idiots, and parasites that inflicted the communist sob on me.

I’m not at all sure what your point is. Of course I think the times are dark, but I’m uncomfortable with comments that appear to be violent. To me it’s no different than comments I’ve heard for years from the left in regard to violence toward Bush.

I am a conservative who did not vote for Obama. Believe me, I have a lot of thoughts in regard to the socialist state I believe America is headed toward, but I don’t see comments about ‘voting from rooftops’ as helpful.

I am fed up also. If were up to me anyone with Commie or socialist ties would of never been allowed to run for office in the first place.

Well, when everything else failed, that's exactly what our founders did to the tyrant, King George and his minions.

...and we are all grateful that they did.

The poster's comment was prefaced with "when everything else fails", and that is a good preface.

Everything else has not failed yet and so we have a lot of work to do. If we are diligent, committed and it give it our all, we may be able to start the turnaround in 2010...but as I say, we have a lot of work to do.

I am glad the founders understood human nature so well to give us the great deterrent to tyranny that the 2nd amendment is. Let's all pray it can remain just that, a deterrent, for that is what it was meant to be. Reminding some of these pols, particularly the marxist variety, of that from time to time is probably very healthy for our republic.

In my opinion, that’s a very healthy response — thank you. Let’s get to the work of getting our Republic back to being a republic, and pray that there is no civil unrest.

BTW, I am definitely in favour of keeping the first and second amendments completely in place.

The 1st and 2nd amendments refer to rights that the founders understood were unalienable and conferred upon us by God. Life, liberty, property, and the pursuit...which were codified in the Bill of Rights.

Government may have power to coerce, but they have no power to deny said rights. Our free will...extending to our free speech and right to defend ourselves are both under assault...but as I said, those assaulting them have no power to deny them...only infringe and coerce. Our minds are still free and with that, our free will and the ability to defend ourselves, we can vouchsafe the rest.

That's really what the 2nd amendment was all about in the 1st place and is why posters here, understandably, feel so strongly about it.

Our founders also felt strongly about it. They exhausted every avenue...over years and years of effort to peacefully come to erms with the crown...it was only when the crown sought to take by force of arms the colonists ability to defend themselves that they came out in open fighting. They undewrstood if their own arms were takne, that free speech and words alone would not be enough to turn a tyranmt like the King at that time...there had to be the threat of force backing up the just claims and desires for liberty that those colonists had.

So it is today...that latent force, of 80+ million gun onwers, is there to try and ensure that it never has to be used...just as the founders intended.

As I say, let's hope and pray...and work...so that it holds.

Alan Keyes is the only man who is man enough to publicly call Zero what he truly is: a commie.

Haven’t you yet figured out why?

Bills make their way through Congress and are voted on by the members of Congress. Obama can sign or not sign them, of course, but they still have to “get to him” in the first place for him to sign them.

You're seeing things in a traditional sense.
The use of executive orders, presidential proclamations, memorandas, and directives are the order of the day.
Who needs Congress?

To do just about the exact opposite of what Obama is doing.

Which would be what?
Do nothing and fiddle while Rome burns?

I keep hearing lots of criticism of what the current admin is doing, but I'm not hearing any good alternatives.
This is not a set of problems which are going away on their own.

There have been numerous proposals.

Build the free market and let it adjust itself to these circumstances.

Lower Coprorate and invidiual tax rates, end the gluttonous spending on pet social and porok programs.

Take the oneorous laws requiring financial institution to extend credit to bad creit risks off the books.

Stop funding the radical, manipulative organization ACORN and others like it.

Treat our border like a border and staunch the flow of illegals and treat the ones here like they are illegal and go after them to get them out...rather than trying to use them as a demographic weapon.

The list goes on and on...all of which has been proposed, and sadly, most of which our own GOP leaders balked at in order to try and be "bi-partisan", and the DNC slammed because they have no interest in building the free market per sey...leading to the current election cycle.

Those things will become self evident as the crisis deepens...but will precisely NOT be what the dems do. The lunatics and marxists most responsible for the current economic crisis have been elected and put in charge of the asylum. They are proceeding, headlong, with precisely the policies which created the problems.

Obama's next step regarding raising taxes and declining military to cut the deficit is going to be greeted by a further erosion of the economy.

Alan Keyes is 0-what? 6. We’re talking Lyndon LaRouche numbers now.

Thank you but I’ll listen to Watts, Inhofe, Coburn... you know people with a little something something along with copious amounts of credability.
