He might be less accountable, which may or may not be a good thing. Being elected a second time at least allows him (or her) to go back to the people for affirmation of policies.

I'd like to see the President with one 6 year termI disagree for two reasons:
(1)Too long for a Presidential term;
(2)A President would have no incentive to care about what he promised the voters. A second term President has at least proven his trustworthiness to the voters satisfaction.

I second your proposal! If the candidate knows he has 1 term to get it done, then he won’t spend the first 4 years getting reelected, and maybe he’ll be serious about his office!
