He might be less accountable, which may or may not be a good thing. Being elected a second time at least allows him (or her) to go back to the people for affirmation of policies.

I sort of favor the 6-year single presidential term.
I recall that, not long after GW was elected, he was spending allot of time on frequent fund-raising trips. It was almost as if he started campaigning for his 2nd term shortly after he got elected to his first.
The job is so big that a president does not need to be out campaigning for another term. And 8-years of a president seems to create allot of fatigue -- remember Clinton fatigue and Bush 2 fatigue.
