Don’t forget Richard Nixon. Not only did he lose to JFK in 1960, he lost the CA Governorship in 1962. He became a joke to news junkies of the day. FDR and Nixon were able to comeback due to screw ups by incumbent Presidents.

At this stage, I don’t see the GOP ever winning the White House without a Dem President screwing up.

Nixon wasn’t a losing VP candidate, he was a losing Presidential candidate.

But yes, both made comebacks because of incumbent screw-ups.

So do you think that the CLAMs will succeed?

BTW, CLAM means Communist Liberal American Media.

So do you think that the CLAMs will succeed?

They already have. Obama won largely because of media manipulation and the influence the mainstream media has on the public at large.

Also, other factors include the dumbing down of our educational system, the erosion of our morals, and never ending infiltration of college campuses and work environments by the socialists.

The attempted destruction of Sarah Palin was a media fabrication from the start, and weak or lazy individuals are easy manipulated to accept it without questioning the deceitful arguments and premises promoted by the MSM. Even some folks on our side are more concerned with style and appearance, rather than with substance, sad to say.

The only voices of dissent Obama has to contend with now come from conservative radio. He has the WH, the Senate, and the Congress on his side, and he has no real opposition except conservative commentators like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and others.  Even some so-called conservatives in the print media like David Brooks and Peggy Noonan aren't fully committed to our side anymore.  That's is why Obama wants to implement the fairness doctrine under whatever other name he can come up with.  Regardless of the name of the policy, the impact will be the same: he wants to stop people from getting the truth.  So even though the liberal media has succeeded so far, the hope is that as Obama's socialist agenda spreads far and wide, and starts sinking in, people will start listening to the voices of dissent, and if we keep our volume high and sustain our message, enough might just come around.

As I said, that's why Obama wants to destroy conservative radio and later, the conservative blogosphere.  And if you ask me if I think he will succeed, my answer is that I think he'll try of course, but that ultimately he won't succeed.  I just don't think that America as a nation is ready for total socialism.  But who knows, I could be wrong.
