I'd like to listen, but my wife's work schedule demands that she gets up a 6 AM Fr/Sat/Sun for work. I don't get to stay up late even with a day off tomorrow.

Art Bell mentioned that this guy had once had something to do with George Soros. Art Bell is a fake, opportunist. Enough said.

I’ts the usual gloom and doom anyway ...so far.

He says this cruddy economy will last long. Too much debt. Too much buying beyond one’s means

Extended period of economic contraction

Coast to Coast thrives on dire warnings of impending calamity. It sells gold, wind-up radios, and emergency food rations.

Supposedly he wrote a book about coming economic collapse in 2007.
That puts him ahead of the curve, but still behind some noteworthy FReepers!

Plus Noory is a full-blown Obama apologist. Well, he’s in the same business as explaining sasquatch and UFO’s so a false messiah isn’t out of the imagination either.

There are only THREE DAYS worth of food in the pipeline.

If the trucks stopped, one week from now, EVERY SUPERMARKET WOULD BE STRIPPED BARE.

No one is making light of the inherent vulnerabilities of a modern nation, but Coast to Coast fans the flames of wild speculation with unbridled enthusiasm.

Problem is, when you look at history, the life changing events aren’t these little slow changes that take decades or centuries to develop.

They are sudden, often violent, contortions that uproot families and evaporate governments.
So, say we go on another ten years and then Wall Street...
Or maybe twenty years then Wall Street...

Fill in the blanks. You know what I mean.

WOW!
That sounds like Wall St with its derivatives and hedge funds too
That sounds like our mad manic housing markets that is now in full blown deflation mode

That sounds like the European banks that are suffering from enormous loans to emerging nations of Eastern Europe
That sounds like the English real estate market

In comparison the UFO nuts on Coast to Coast are down right rational

Art lost his political spine a few years ago. It happened about the same time his show became more widely syndicated on ClearChannel and Premier. He doesn't dare offend the source of his income.

That's an excellent point. I consider C2C a blossom on the rosebush of life, a blessing in entertainment -- great on-the-road listening, or headphone-while-working listening. I love it when they get died-in-the-wool Bigfoot experts, ghost hunters, UFO devotees, wingnut psychics, Mayan calendar buffs, stuff like that. When the show gets political, then it gets scary.

I normally love the (very) original Art Bell, who I consider as much a pioneer in his way as anyone on radio. But tonight, talking economics??? yeeeeeeesssshhhh ...

It was like listening to a bunch of clueless teenagers talking about parenting.

Speaking of Kook to Kook, I do enjoy listening to it, but
on weekends, my online streaming stations, WABC and WMAL go to
stupid infomercials.
If anyone has a list of stations that will stream OUTSIDE the US, please advise.

They will dance around the causes of our economic problems for three hours without mentioning the monumental corruption and incompetence of our elected representatives.
