JERUSALEM Israeli President Shimon Peres chose hard-line Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu to form a new Israeli government on Friday, ending days of speculation and giving Netanyahu six weeks to put together a ruling coalition.
The question now is whether Netanyahu will form a narrow government with his hard-line allies or a broad government along with his centrist rival, Kadima Party leader Tzipi Livni. His choice will have serious ramifications for the Mideast peace process.
Peres made his announcement early Friday afternoon after holding meetings with Netanyahu and Livni. An official ceremony appointing Netanyahu was to be held shortly afterward.

Jeeze, I’m jealous.
I wish America had a conservative leader.
Praise God! I am thrilled about this! Bibi will be an excellent PM!
Livni just has the wrong idea of how to lead Israel. She wants to appease and she won’t stand up to Israel’s enemies. She simply won’t do.
Bibi won’t take any garbage from Israel’s enemies. He’ll do what is right!
GO BIBI!!!!!!
Bibi has an advantage over others in his dealing with the sworn enemies of his country. It is in his ability and insistence to the speaking of the one language they all understand...
POWER and the willingness to use it.
God’s chosen people, once again, have a good leader.
DON'T TRUST OBAMA. EVER
Excellent!
Now Bomb Bomb Iran!
Go Bibi Go.
We need someone who can speak the truth about peace in the ME.
New rule: every time some MSM article uses the word “hard-line” in an article about Bibi, you have to do a shot of your favorite liquor.
Thank goodness!

Netanyahu does not need 6 weeks. In 6 days he will form his Government and on the 7th day, he will obiliterate Iran and there is nothing that islamo-fascist-rat Ahmadinejad can do to stop him.
Bibi Ping!
I'm in:-)
Netanyahu’s placement as PM (once again) is truly a momentous development for the Middle East, as well as for the world at large.
One thing is for sure, that things will get even more “interesting” in the Mideast, as well as in U.S.-Israel relations.
Zero would do well to support Israel, although I fear that he will work to try undermining Netanyahu’s authority. Truly a dangerous thing to do!!
Hold the line, Bibi.
I can’t believe there are only 16 replies to this thread so far.
Stay away from Tzipi the Pinhead and DO NOT EVER TRUST 0b0ma!
Bibi is elected, Israel is saved, at least for the duration of his Prime Ministership.
And plan to walk to work.
Cheers!
