House Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) held a local roundtable to explain how the stimulus will affect South Carolina. Clyburn said opposition from Gov. Mark Sanford and other Governors is "a slap in the face" to African-Americans.

Sure it does. Since government made socialists out of poor blacks they all want a piece of the pie every time and every way. Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie. The special class and race don’t you know?

Isn’t it amazing how they constantly use ‘race’ as a reason to solve every problem.
He’s talking about backdoor reparations. It’s the black community that will get mortgage bailouts.
The attacks on Sanford are just beginning. He is going to be in a great position as a candidate in 2112 if the Obama plan fails. They will take him out of the race early if at all possible.
I completely missed Clyburn's point.
I can see how stimulus support would be a slap in the face to Christians and Jews ... and to God (the 8th Commandment: "Thou shalt not steal").
I can see how stimulus support would be a slap in the face to patriotic Americans (the 9th Amendment: "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people", and the 10th Amendment: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.").
I can see how stimulus support would be a slap in the face even to non-patriotic Americans who value the 13th Amendment: "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
I still can't come up with a single justification for the 'stimulus' that sounds better than the old "might makes right". Obama/Pelosi can use force to take what we produce and give it to those who produce nothing, and that is the closest they have to a moral justification for their actions.
I'm tempted to protest in DC with a sign:

They keep bringing up “race”, now matter what the subject. You want to consider “race”? How many standup honest blacks does Obama surround himself with? These are the ones that are an insult to good honest blacks.
OK, first of all, they are NOT from Africa, so drop this phoney ethnic scam. Secondly, this is South Carolina. I will have to insist that Clyburn take a literacy test before I listen to anything he has to say.

It's a shame MLK jr was black. Blacks don't even heed his words or understand what he was about. He was about character, not color.
Am I a racist? I don't know now. I always thought that blacks were people. Two arms, two legs, a body, a head, all functioning the same way those parts would in white, yellow, red or pink people. They have the same capabilities as everyone else. Yet they choose to fall on the race card instead of the character card. They are doing a great disservice to the black people who have strived to do things honestly. Instead of being proud of what they've overcome throughout history, they whine. They have only brought themselves down.
Since racism is spewed all the time, I have no problem calling a black person what they are. Black. Blacks will always remind us that they are black, not human.
My sincere apology to the black people whose intelligence and actions I do respect. I'd list them but then I'd be singling them out and thus would be a racist.
