Re #11: True. I personally knew a man who set himself up to become a multimillionaire at the time of his death in the '90's. To make ends meet after they first got married, Charlotte, his wife, would sell apples from a stand downtown Raleigh. He took a trip to Fla one fall to truck up oranges around end of Oct.......things took off. He acquired another truck and a diver...etc., etc., etc. by 1949, he had the entire ABC distributing for the state to himself; he bought over 2 city blocks of downtown Raleigh and that was sold before his death. The now Raleigh Seaboard train station was remodeled from one of his warehouses where he used to received the liquor from all over the state for taxing, then distribution.
With hard work and dedication, good things can come about in hard times. Papa Bear still managed to get cases of Cuban cigars even after Castro took over. Never saw him without one.

Remember all the clamor about Enron?
That witch hunt went on for years, and it is still going on in the courts.
Some employees went to prison for saying in public meetings that broadband software could do certain things (which today it can do and do it 50 times better). For saying that, the stock went up, and that is what the Government nailed them for.
It all seems pretty silly now, doesn't it.

You know, I normally dislike Lawyers on principle, but it sure would be nice to see any that are out of work right now, lined up around the block at the Capitol Building with papers to serve in their hands...
I’d even let John Edwards handle a few corruption cases...starting with himself, LOL!
A girl can DREAM, can’t she?

I knew there was a reason I liked you, blam. Grandpa retired at 55, Dad at 53. I was planning on 50 for myself (two more years) and that MIGHT happen if gold & silver keep rising. :)
Small mortgage left to pay, but if I can get Husband to downsize earlier than he wants to, it could be done.
Enjoy!
