Oppose "Choose Life" License Plates
Dear xxxxxx,
This morning, the House Transportation Committee voted on a package of legislation that included Sen. Cuccinelli's 'Choose Life' License Plate. The bill, SB817, passed by a vote of 15-7. Click here to see how your Delegate voted. This is a disappointing blow to our efforts to defeat this bill, which would generate funds for crisis pregnancy centers around Virginia.
On Monday, the House of Delegates will take a final vote on this legislation and be sure the anti's are making their voices heard. Please take a moment to send your legislator a message letting him or her know that you OPPOSE the sale of 'Choose Life' License Plates.
Send a letter to the following decision maker(s): Your Delegate (if you live in Virginia)
Below is the sample letter:
Subject: Please Oppose "Choose Life" License Plates
Dear [decision maker name automatically inserted here],
I am writing to ask that you please oppose SB817 based on Sen. Cuccinelli's amendment that would allow for license plates bearing the legend "Choose Life" to be sold in Virginia. The funds raised by the sale of the license plates would go to nongovernmental, non-profit organizations that masquerade as legitimate reproductive health centers.
These organizations, known as Crisis Pregnancy Centers, often pose as comprehensive health clinics that offer a full range of services but in fact offer very little in the way of real health services. In addition, crisis pregnancy centers often present medically inaccurate information as fact. Women who are scared or unsure about their health care options should be given honest, accurate medical information to help them make the best decision possible.
I hope that the Virginia legislature will support legitimate, comprehensive reproductive health clinics, rather than centers whose goals are to prevent women from exercising their judgment to make fully informed decisions.
Please oppose this measure.
Sincerely,
What happened to the whole “pro-choice” position?
The pro choice people want to limit your choices. I am shocked.
Right...kinda like Planned Parenthood?
My God!!!! These abortionists obviously do not intend to allow for any ‘Choice’ in the matter. Really a ‘True Colors’ moment.
If the intentions of PPH are honorable, and they are simply concerned about women’s health issues, which they are not, then what difference does it make where the woman receives care? On the other hand, if they are all about killing babies, then i can see why they would be upset...Crisis Pregnancy Centers are all about saving babies, not killing them.
should we change them to Choose Death?
As opposed to...what? FOR-PROFIT organizations that masquerade as legitimate reproductive health centers? Oh wait...
“Please oppose this measure.” = CHOOSE DEATH.
The ancient religious ritual of Molech worship pays very well. Its priests grossed more than a billion dollars last year.
Just with the unborn.
If a lot of cars had a “Choose Life” plate, people would be pretty quick to figure out that PPH lies and most people do NOT support their stand.
they do not like choices. what a shock. liberals lie.
The only reproductive HEALTH centers are those that are helping women to reproduce. Killing their babies is contrary to health of the child.
As opposed to abortion mills that say "it's not a baby, it's just a blob of cells".
It is medically inaccurate to say that an 8-month fetus is not alive or due the rights and protections of life of any other person.
If they want to give "honest" and "accurate" medical information, they would not oppose showing pregnant women sonograms of their babies.
How much money does Planned Parenthood get when a woman
CHOOSES
to not have an abortion...
Conflict of interest anyone?
I read this letter and heard a banshee howl. The harpies are shrieking.
someone should reply to them and say precisely that, that if they have a problem with this, they should simply try to get passed a provision that offers a plate saying CHOOSE DEATH. problem solved. sell that to your constituency, PP.
Can’t they just choose not to get one?
What does raising money for pregnancy crisis centers have to do with PPH? Seems like the federal government gives them all the money they need.
Maybe they can make their own Choose Death license plates.
I didn’t see your post!
