Oklahoma Sovereignty 10th Amendment Resolution HJR 1003 passes in house....
OK is setting a trend for the nation!
Vote 83Y 13N

What exactly do these laws entail? From what I’ve read, they basically are a proclamation by the state that they will not follow any unconstitutional law or regulation imposed by the government? Seems like something every state should pass. I wonder how the feds will react?
I want to know details of exactly what this is before I start cheering. Need to be sure it’s not just the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions or the Nullification Crisis all over again a couple hundred years later.
States handled their own problems....until the greedy hand of the Feds reached out and changed the entire business of the states. Politics hasn'r changed...only the names.
Excerpt:
"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 52ND OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
THAT the State of Oklahoma hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States.
THAT this serve as Notice and Demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers."
“Does anyone know if the Governor of OK is GOP or Dem?”
.. as reminded by my cousins in OK, this last election, 100% of the counties went conservative.
Dem
83-13...Wow!
I confess, I was expecting these “cease and desist” bills to be nothing more than token objections to federal overreach, not to be taken seriously.
I’m very pleased to be proven wrong!
The 50-State Secession
by Paul Bonneau
...
The resolutions could read something like this: “If at least 30 other states
send resolutions of secession to the federal government, then the State of X
will from that point on be independent, and no longer under control of the
federal government.” That way, the early ones would not be out there,
twisting in the wind.
No doubt the first thing that would happen is the creation of regional
confederations; for example, Oregon, Washington state, British Columbia.
Neighboring states and provinces may join this “Cascadia” such as Idaho,
Montana, Wyoming and Alberta. The Dakotas might go with Minnesota and
Wisconsin. Other states like Texas and California might just go it alone.
The American Empire, like all empires, is about to end. A 50-state secession
would be the least destructive, most promising path to that end. It would
restore the early promise of America, that has been all but lost in the last
several decades. Dump D.C.!

Between this state 10th Amendment movement and this morning’s revolt on Chicago trading floor, I’m getting some optimism!!!!
Yep. I don’t know about you but I’m about to bust out singing the old song - “OKLAHOMA! where the wind comes sweeping down the plain.........” Yee haw!
“A 50-state secession
would be the least destructive, most promising path to that end.” This, basically, would mean a new Federal Government. A new President, House and Senate. May not be a bad idea. The Military would be another problem though. Who would control it until such time a new government could be established?
Um...yeah. Good luck with that.
And good luck with THAT.
Does anyone know if the Governor of OK is GOP or Dem?
Ok Guv is a Dem..
Good luck with what? If I read this correctly, the bill was APPROVED.
LOL! Yeah, that wind usually sweeps right on down here to Texas. And I hope Texas will follow suit in passing our similar “cease and desist” bill (HCR 50) that was just introduced in Austin.
I wrote my representatives instructing them to throw their support behind that bill, in the hopes of reining in this power-hungry and anti-Constitutionalist federal government and thereby staving off violent crisis in my country.
Things are moving too fast since Jan. 21 - much too fast. There are those on both (all?) sides who’ll take advantage of the mayhem to stir the pot in dangerous ways. I’m pleasantly surprised to see so many state legislatures saying to Obama et al, “Whoa, slow down there, fellas.”
Fair warning, IMHO.
Good luck with what? That the bill has already been passed in the house 83-13; or good luck with my singing skills???
The bill passed, great. Assuming the governor signs it, do you really think anybody’s going to PAY ATTENTION to it? Is the federal government going to say, “Oh, whoops, sorry about that, alrighty then”?
Ping!!!
